Quadruple Can Release!!

Ledge Bier
We are excited to head into 2020 with a new flagship beer in the lineup! Ledge Bier Pilsner is made with Saaz and Hallertau hops along with Barke and Pilsner malts. It’s clean, crisp, and crushable. $15/4pack

Apricult
We gathered around the cauldron with our friends at Brujos Brewing to bring you this enchanting beverage. This sour IPA was fermented with Apricot and Tangerine and dry hopped with Citra hops. $20/4pack (7.8% abv, single batch)

Steady Mobbin
Made in collaboration with our homies at Claim 52 Brewing, we loaded this IPA with Peach, Pineapple, Mango, and Passionfruit. *contains milk sugar $20/4pack (7% abv, single batch)

Mandala
This hazy IPA is packed with a unique blend of Nelson, Strata, and Galaxy Southern hemisphere hops. $18/4pack (7.2% abv, single batch)

New on Tap at Alberta


Oatmeal Crumble
Brewed with hand toasted oats, Pilsner malt, and a touch of wheat, Oatmeal Crumble was conditioned on organic cinnamon, almonds, Madagascar vanilla beans, and a generous dry hop of 3+ lbs per barrel.

Seekers and Finders
We came across a unique Southern hemisphere hop which has yet to be named. The aroma reminded us of a classic West Coast IPA, so obviously we had to try it out. When it comers to hops, we'll always be a Seeker and every once in awhile... we find what we're looking for.

Dark winter days make us want more dark beers!

Join us Friday, January 17 from 6-10pm for a very special event at Great Notion NW. Radio Silence Stout Party will include some of our favorite GNB stouts along with some amazing ones from our friends at Other Half, Omnipollo, Fremont, Horus, Brujos, 8Bit, Weldwerks, and Mikerphone! We’ll also be serving up some good for your soul (and soaking up beer) BBQ.

Happy Friday, everyone!
Here are your 3 Notions for this week...



Can Release

Breakfast of Leisure
This french toast inspired stout was brewed with maple, cinnamon, and vanilla. Whether you choose beer for breakfast or breakfast for dinner, drink this stout at your leisure. $22/4pack (11.25% abv, double batch)

Self Portrait
We brewed this double IPA with happy little New Zealand hops and then added pineapple puree in the whirlpool to give it a subtle fruitiness. $20/4pack (8% abv, single batch)

Juice Invader
This Southern Hemisphere IPA is brewed with heaps of Galaxy hops from Australia. $18/4pack
In light of what’s happening in Australia right now, a portion of proceeds from this release will be donated to NSW Rural Fire Service & Brigades. Our hearts go out to the people and wildlife directly affected by these devastating fires.

New on Tap at Alberta


Super Duper Over Ripe
We packed as much flavor as possible into this huge Triple IPA. Double dry hopped and fermented with a massive amount of tropical fruit and a touch of vanilla...Super Duper is ready for you. 11% abv

We'll Do It Live!
This Double IPA was brewed with Pilsner malt, flaked oats, and white wheat. We dry hopped this beer heavily with Mosaic, El Dorado, and Galaxy hops. "I'll write it, and we'll do it live" 8.1% abv





Closing early on Tuesday

Both of our locations will be closing at 3pm on Tuesday 1/14 for a company event. Come by early for lunch or grab beer to go! We will resume normal business hours on Wednesday.

The weather people are calling for snow next week. As long as our staff can get to the pubs safely, we always prefer to stay open. If we do need to close due to weather, we will post that information on our Instagram pages so be sure to check @greatnotionalberta and @greatnotionnw

Homecoming
It’s Homecoming time! We coupled up with Other Half Brewing to bring back this hazy double IPA brewed with a romantic blend of Motueka, Galaxy, Vic Secret, and Mosaic hops with honey in celebration of their 6th anniversary! $20/4 pack (8.4% abv, double batch)

Ripe
Dry January is basically over. Come restock your Ripe, our flagship IPA brewed exclusively with Citra hops. $18/4 pack (7% abv, single batch)

This rainbow sherbet inspired IPA was double dry hopped with Amarillo and Citra hops, and conditioned on layers of raspberry, lime, orange and vanilla. "Life may be sweeter for this, I don't know, see how it feels in the end". 7% abv

NW
Radio Silence
If you weren't able to get tickets to our Radio Silence stout event last week, the beer that inspired it all is on tap at NW now! It's a delicious no-adjunct, yet chocolatey AF imperial stout aged in bourbon barrels for 21 and 24 months and then blended. 14% abv

Hopculture's Juicy Brews Beach Party
San Pedro, CA we're coming to you! We hope you got tickets for this sold out event and can join us this weekend as we party with our friends at Brouwerij West on Saturday, January 25. Come out and hang...it's going to be a rad time!

Beaverton Pop-Up

New Beer on Tap


Alberta

Oink! is an Imperial Breakfast Stout was brewed with 200 pounds of crispy bacon and fermented with maple syrup. OINK is definitely NOT a vegetarian beer. 10.5% abv

Double Berry Shake is back on tap! This fruited sour is saturated with Oregon Marion berries and finished on whole bean vanilla. The taste is lightly tart, slightly sweet and deep purple in color. *contains no lactose

San Francisco, CA- We'll be in the Bay Area this week for San Francisco Beer Week!

Trying some Oink right now. Mehhhh.... It's not awful, but I wouldn't want to order a large glass of it. The bacon flavor is very prominent, and doesn't seem to blend in all that well with the base stout. Would give it an A for innovation and creativity, and a C- for execution.

Envisioning a dance party where everyone is atop a two-wheeled personal transportation device is silly and will likely bring a smile to your face. Dry-hopping Segway Dance Party with over 7 lbs. per barrel of Simcoe, Citra, and Motueka was also silly, but sipping the outcome brings a smile to our faces.

Mamut
This moonpie inspired Imperial Stout is loaded with marshmallows, chocolate, vanilla, brown sugar and a touch of cinnamon. Happy Mardi Gras, everyone! Laissez les bons temps rouler! (11% abv, single batch) $22/4-pack

Juice Jr.
You already know and love Juice Jr. session IPA. As always, little bro is packed with Mosaic hops for your sipping pleasure. (6% abv, single batch) $18/4-pack

JB DIPA
Another classic, this imperial NE IPA is bursting with pungent Mosaic hops and aromas of peach, mango, and passion fruit, JB has a creamy smooth mouthfeel and mellow bitterness. Watch out, this big brother to Juice Jr. is dangerously drinkable! (8.2% abv, single batch) $20/4-pack

We'll also have cans of Superstar, Jammy Pants, and Peanut Brother available to go.

New Beer on Tap


Alberta
Berry Pusher (5.4% abv)
Fermented with flaked oats, buckets of wildflower honey, strawberry, and blueberry puree, this sour will have you coming back for more.

A Brief History (6.8% abv)

This IPA was fermented with a blend of 3 Kveik yeast strains (pronounced “kuh-vike”) and was dry hopped with 100% Citra hops. This yeast originated in Norway and was passed down from generation to generation within the family, and also shared among fellow brewers in the region. Thanks to Portland's Imperial Yeast Co, we are able to share this unique IPA with you.

This Saturday, Feb. 29, is the big day! We are pulling out all the stops, including a muffin-juggling bear and complimentary snacks for the first 100 guests in the door. It's going to be a wild day, so be sure to come by to check it out.

Key Lime Pie

Just in time for the warmer days ahead, Key Lime Pie is back. Brewed with key lime, vanilla, coriander, sea salt, brown sugar, and lactose, this beer is tart and refreshing.

Ledge Bier

Calling all crispy bois and girls! Our newest flagship pilsner, Ledge Bier, is already a classic; made with Hallertau and Saaz hops along with Barke and Pilsner malts, this is the light, refreshing beer you want at the end of a long day.

Southern Grist 4th Anniversary
Our Nashville friends can find our beer at Southern Grist this Saturday, Feb. 29, for what promises to be an incredible anniversary celebration. There are tap takeovers Tuesday-Friday, five new releases, and 30 other guest cans to round out the festivities. Tickets are sold out, but you can follow Southern Grist on IG here, or on their website.

Beer Zombies
