Bit of a drive to North Calistoga from Santa Rosa... and it's not like there isn't plenty of good wine right nearby. Maybe take Monica to Martinelli or A. Rafanelli instead. Just a thought...

I saw that announcement as well, and just shook my head ruefully. I think this is the first time in years that our annual Cynthia birthday trip to Mendocino hasn't coincided with PtY release. Oh well... have had pretty good luck finding it locally on tap the last few years. Hopefully that will be the case this year as well.

Yeah. PtY is pretty easy to find with a little effort. Twist is a great standby. As for the wine, we've done it before and want to do it again for old times sake. Will be staying a few days so the rounds will be easy. Thanks for the tips. We just might go to those too

Know exactly what you mean. We keep hitting Silver Oak every time we're in the area for exactly the same reason.

And yeah... If for some reason I can't find any younger in pdx, I'll make the trek over to twist. Might run on over there even if I do find it in pdx.

Yes indeed! I have driven to Russian River twice from Seattle. Damn that's a long drive round-trip, BUT WORTH EVERY SECOND!!!!!

Good luck Larry. Sounds like it maybe a real shitshow this year. I think the availability of bottles has created something of a feeding frenzy mentality this year. I'm reading about very long lines and waits to get into both locations this year, but the Santa Rosa location in particular. Good luck!

Our plan B if lines are untenable, is skip PtY altogether, I've had it too many times before to worry about it much, head down to the Santa Rosa location where they have Beatification at the store and a few other things of course then head to winerys we want to hit. Then try again on Wednesday. We'll be showing up early. We don't mind standing in line for a couple of hours. Time flies and I might even make a friend. I've seen people post they waited for 10 hours That's a little ridiculous.
If I score Beat, my trip is a success. I've considered going to RR just for that in the past.

In line at 8:42 Served at 10:50. Not bad as lines go.

    congrats!

I would love to have made it up there this week while in town on a biz trip, but work has chained me to the office or client dinner meets in the south end until I dash for the airport
