So I responded to a trade, and agreed to trade bottle A for bottle B. I sent my bottle, bottle A, and later the OP stated that he went home and found out that he made a mistake and did not have bottle B. This is after we agreed to the trade and I sent off my bottle. OP stated that he could send back my bottle or substitute for another bottle. I told OP that I would be open to another bottle to substitute. OP offered bottle C now , and he stated he had to wait for his proxy to pick up bottle C. I said I was ok with that. A few days pass and now OP is having issues securing bottle C and attempts to offer another bottle. I said no, I want bottle C. OP continued to make excuses for not securing bottle C, and then after almost 2 weeks of trying to complete this trade, the OP again offered to send back my original bottle. Since I kept getting excuses, I decided that getting back my bottle was the only way of not getting screwed in this deal.

I held up my part of the deal, the OP did not. I left a bad review due his part of not fulfilling his part. After leaving negative feedback, the OP gave me a bad review. What recourse do I have? I did my part, and now he is penalizing me for his failure.

Retaliatory feedback is grounds for a banning. Contact mods here and let them decide.

Also, @dixoncider2323 can leave his side of story here.

    Was the communication on BA?
If what you posted is factual, it seems like retaliatory feedback. Tag moderators and share the trade conversation with them.

I think the feedback should be neutral here... even though the trade didn’t happen like you wanted it to, he made you whole and sent the bottle back.

Guy is still out shipping $$. Small as it may be, I think it absolutely warrants negative feedback when you end up having to spend $$ purely because someone agreed to trade a bottle they didn't have (and then tried doing it again).

When asking if negative feedback is warranted, I ask myself "if I were about to trade with X person, would I want to know about this instance?" and in this case the answer is definitely "yes" (based on the one side's account, at least).

Maybe you’re right, it could have been neutral but I see it both ways. However responding negatively to a negative review is not right at all especially if 1 party fulfilled their part on the trade. And the other didn’t.
@dixoncider2323 probably should have contacted the mods before responding or could have not left a response at all. But now this opens the door to unintended consequences.

I think you could make a case for both neutral and bad feedback from OP here, that's up to him at the end of the day. After all his trading partner did not only fail to uphold his end of the deal but also strung him along for a replacement bottle which he also ended up failing to provide. Not to mention that OP is out on shipping costs. Sending back the original bottle really is the least his trade partner could have done.

On the other hand, OP did nothing wrong in regards to the trade and his trading partner's feedback is clearly retaliatory, even failing to provide any substantial wrongdoings by OP.

@dixoncider2323 will get a chance to say his piece, but so far this seems like a pretty clear cut case, to be honest.

This exactly, just shipping back the bottle and leaving it that seems odd. Hopefully we get both sides of the story here.

My apologies for the retaliatory feedback. But I did offer to pay him back for shipping, I offered to send bottle back immediately and pay for shipping he paid. He asked if I had anything else. Told him about the VD bottle. He chose that route. I let him know the deal with what was going on with shipping. My buddy who is suppose to ship postponed due to a family thing. I put offers to buy secondary. No hits. Then ended up here. I apologized continually, but the guy thought I can just make things happen immediately. but he insisted on being pushy. So now we are here.

So wait you had agreed to a trade, you couldn’t make it happen, you gave options and he took one of them and you still couldn’t make it happen? Is that gist of it?
