Not sure what part of this warrants you leaving negative feedback for him, but hope you both get this worked out lol.

I don’t know. If @dixoncider2323 ’s first message about an issue included:

    1. I thought I had the bottle but was mistaken
    2. I can send yours back and reimburse you for your shipping/packing costs or offer you a different bottle.

Then negative feedback seems harsh. I like giving the benefit of the doubt and can see how a large cellar can lead to a mistake.

If the alternate bottle included the disclaimer about needing to get it from someone else in the first message about this, I’d still say negative is a bit harsh.

If any of this information came later, I think negative is deserved. Otherwise, neutral with an explanation like: (Didnt have bottle agreed to in trade. Offered alternative bottle, but was unable to secure it in a timely fashion. Returned my bottle and paid shipping cost).

Feedback the other way is retaliatory and unacceptable.

He posted the trade. Why would he not know what he had? It's not like I posted the trade, he was at work and thought he had the bottle but didn't.

I definitely acted off emotion. Definitely should have went about it different. He did carry out his side. But was clouded because of the way he was acting. Either way, I’ll take whatever is given to me.

I apologized to him immediately for the mistake. And now looking back, he carried out his side. But like I said in another post, I was just upset about how he was acting.

    If I overacted, it's because I wouldn't have made a trade with a bottle I didn't have.

He should, but people make mistakes. Maybe he bought 4 bottles at the release, drank one and thought he’d traded 2, but had already traded the last one away? I don’t know. Just an opinion. I would go neutral, but it’s your feedback and your trade. You aren’t wrong.

I don't see an option for a neutral, only saw options for trade as good, okay, and bad. This was neither good or okay. But for him to leave bad/negative feedback on my part? That is retaliation on his part.

Gentlemen.....I've read the convo and here is my take and plan of action.

First....ALWAYS make sure you have the bottle or bottles in hand before making a trade....its that simple. Yes, mistakes can happen, but if you have the time to post a trade, then you have time to check your cellar or wherever else you keep your bottles to ensure you have them.

2nd...a trade was agreed and OP sent his bottle per the convo (agreement) The trader in question did apologize right away and offered to ship his bottle back and pay for shipping after discovering he didn't have the bottle to trade on his end the day he was supposed to ship.

There were discussions for an alternate bottle agreed as a replacement, but things never transpired to get that bottle delivered on the trader in question to the op.

The root cause of this whole debacle was NOT HAVING THE AGREED BOTTLE IN HAND by the trader in question.

The op is getting his bottle back and the trader in question is paying for shipment.

With that said, I'm willing to keep @dixoncider2323 from being banned for retaliatory feedback if he changes his feedback for the OP to positive feedback (below)

It was all my fault for the trade not taken place as I didn't check to make sure I had the bottle to trade ahead of time.

    @dixoncider2323 this work for you?

Lastly, I'm fine with the negative feedback left by @Supermario79 it should serve as a learning lesson to his trade partner moving forward.
