Lots of talk as in they’re just pointing it out or against it? Hopefully the former.

“Muling anniversary releases. Cost + 10 + shipping. Plus a 10 premium for the anniversary stuff. DM me.

Also you guys see Ronkonkoma is selling OH cans? Money grubbing capitalistic bastards!”

I think it's less about the reselling and more about the fact that OH is choosing to do business with a group of scumbags who have made racist "jokes" about OH's peers.

    Really disappointing if true.

I've been feeling ambivalent about OH for a while now, but there's just a bad smell to all of this (lines, guns, shady resellers). It's not gonna keep me from grabbing Ringz or Showers when they come around, but I'll be holding my nose.

Yeah it was kind of the icing on the cake for me after all that happened yesterday. Nobody would care if these guys weren't such scumbags, and then their friends and supports take to facebook to continue acting like clowns.

Its also funny to me how they called so much attention to themselves after burning down their old store.

not quite digging this 6th anni.. seems hot and muddled, but i remember the same complaints in the past for these big anniversary beers straight out of the gates.. so lets see in a couple of weeks.

followed it up with my first Suarez Palatine Pils, and now my palate has been reset to a cool crisp mountaintop sitting next to my extremely hot wife wearing a very expensive Norwegian wool sweater as we breathe the air and realize how truly amazing life is.

+1 on holding your 6th Anny cans. They're tasty for sure but there's greatness underneath those rough edges if you can wait a week or two.

Even though a bit green, 6th is hopped tremendously...so much so that other beers from them start to taste like pilsners in comparison. It should hit its peak in a couple weeks.

Yesterday I had a 6th followed by a re-brewed Nummy Nug Nug...the latter just tasted off in comparison.

Today I had a 6th followed by a Diamond Reflection (ROC brewed). Same deal.

6th is on another level completely at least IMO.

oof I missed a lot of thread.
I was at this realease, I just usually only use this forum on my work computer.
it was a terrible stressful shitshow, and if other half knows what is good for them they will re-evaluate how they are selling the beer, but they wont. They did nothing to dispel rumors of only 100 bottles ba banana, when they knew it was the rumor, which created hysteria.
at the end? just like last year i have the special beer and wonder if it was worth it, aside from getting to drink with my friends for a bit.

If I'm being totally honest, if you are that drunk, you shouldn't be getting sold anything. If you cant reiterate your order well enough for someone to get after being asked to repeat yourself once, go home

It was a bit of a mess, but it's one release. I don't expect to see a week to week change when things are otherwise mostly fine. That is, during any given week lately you can go in and have many excellent options! Hopefully the anniversary release next year is a bit different though! I think the 2 weeks before of lines for collabs indicated this was going to be a bit of a mess.

At 1130 the night before they were handing out wristbands in the 260s that still guaranteed BA bananas, so it should've been clear there were at least that many!

Yeah, I'm in the same boat as per wondering if it was worth it. I did it all, so I must think it was worth it, but ugh.

I had an awesome experience with my linedude this year. I had bought "line time" from 3 to 8 am. My line dude (and owner of SameOleLineDudes) Robert (great name) sent me a text at 1130 the night before that he saw the OH IG post about bracelets at 11pm and was headed out to get mine. Their customer service is incredible, 10/10 would recommend SameOleLineDudes for all your line sitting needs. I split the allotment with some friends so I paid on average $1 more per beer after the cost of the line dude was factored in. Seems like an easy decision, aside from the ethical dilemma of perpetuating a gig economy that entraps workers.

The line moved incredibly slowly and at 10am was really only 500 people or so. I'm kind of surprised it was that small of a line.

4th is still one of their best beers ever!

Street green was also a mess. I did the same thing as you, got there at 8ish expecting "a little busier" release. I saw the line from the subway platform and walked around to the opposite side to just go home though.

With that said, it is much easier to get in and get out with great beer both during the week and on the weekends. There's the predictably hypey collab (snowbirds!), but plenty of great OH beer to be had with no fuss.

Rob I’m struggling with your stance of being pro SameOleLineDudes and anti Uber. Can we sit down over a Big Mac to discuss?

Some people just don't think sometimes when beer is involved. Without taking into account any loss, there are around 400 500ml bottles of beer in a barrel. Even if OH only filled one barrel of beer, which is ridiculous to assume, there would be more than 100 bottles.

It's pretty easy to propagate fear mongering thanks to social media and the average person probably not knowing how many bottles are in a barrel. The BA bottles were sold in Rochester and that store that gets OH in MD. They also also had to hold some back for draft in both NY spots.
