Bad BIF’r @avelasquez80

    I ran the NFL 33 BIF this year and @Avelasquez80 signed up for two boxes through the different rounds we ran. He has not shipped any of the boxes and has not been on BA in a while.

    I noticed he hasn’t been on BA in awhile and that the last communication we had he mentioned some family issues that had come up. But with zero communication to the guys owed boxes, I have no choice but to call him out here.

    Hopefully he makes it right for the people who are still owed boxes.

    Yea I saw that thread as I was typing this. He had been in previous BIFs with me (Including the NFL33 I ran last year) so I didn’t think to even look in here

    This is now strike 3 for this guy. Can we tag @Avelasquez80 as a Bad Trader now, as he continues to overextend himself and only follow through when hounded and called out here.

    Hopefully calling him out and naming him will be sufficient and enough a reminder to sort this out the best way. And there another Bad Trader thread was about/is going to be resolved as of today.

    Can only wait and see at this point, @Theredflame2 .

    Thanks for jumping in here - I know that @John_M and @dmbforever had posted in the last bad BIF'er thread for this guy ... Seems to me like the BT tag should be applied at least until this situation is fixed.

    As you probably all know there’s no BIF outside of The US and its Canadian version so while I’m well aware of how it works having read the rules, I’m certain these two other American based mods will help better.

    I'm leaning in this direction as well, but still feel we should wait a few days to hear an explanation from @Avelasquez80. In the previous BT thread, he was very good about coming forward, apologizing and explaining what happened.

    Yeah I hate to see this here. I picked up a few bottles of Bourbon Country for him a couple of years ago, wasn't a trade posted here, he reached out to the community asking if anyone could find any (back when it went fast). I lost his contact info, was in a pm here. I ended up not shipping them because I was waiting for a shipping label, which I never got, no harm they will eventually be drank. But seems like he should be laying off trading beer and BIF'ng if his work life is so frantic.

    Well.....he has not been on BA since November 22.
    11 weeks and 3 days.

    While I have no problem keeping this open and agree with @John_M .....at this point its probably a huge long shot he comes back this go around.

    Whatever he owes...in my opinion, will have to be written off, unfortunately.

    We can also retire his account based on this situation and previous track record. I'm willing to leave his account active for now, because at this point what do we have to lose.

    If he doesnt come back to BA to explain himself @Avelasquez80 by the end of March....I think that's more than enough time with extreme life situations to atleast communicate something to someone in the league.

    @Theredflame2 Are you ok with the above? Feel free to let us moderators know if you would like something different on our end.

    @dmbforever that works for me. Hoping he comes through , but if we haven’t heard from him by the end of March I think we can assume that won’t happen.

    @Theredflame2 have you checked with his past traders to see if they have a contact for him. I think his job takes him to some pretty weird places and he might not have good internet access. Just a thought if you could check if someone has his phone #, might not hurt to reach out to him.

    @donspublic i have his phone number and have reached out to him. He told me would try to get them out in the next month, I asked him to log on to BA and explain the situation to the two people he owes boxes to. He has not logged on and I have received no further communication from him. That was about 3 weeks ago.

    He was also a participant last year in our golf league BIF run by @mj0126, he also owes myself and @Woody1180 a box from that as well.

    Im the lucky guy that is down 2 boxes to him, let him roll a box into the season final to make shipping easier and boy did it make things easy on him...

    Dude should either have his account here retired or at the very least be banned from trading (and effectively from BIFs) permanently. This is egregious conduct.

    The box to Kbergen28 is one of the two he owes for my NFL 33 BIF. But it sounds like he is 5 deep
