Welp, I finally had Beezer over the weekend and yeah that is a very good beer. Def see why it got the gold.

Partially mad I didn't notice OIB didn't have a thread yet, partially mad it will now have higher visibility.

They do a lot of different stuff I like; Della is a very nice Kolsch (they can that as well), Beezer is much better than it started out, the BA Krampus stuff is one of my favorite BA releases in the city (with a killer logo to boot), and the food their is excellent. There's always something good to drink on the menu, the only issue with the place is that they don't take reservations and are frequently pretty busy when I go (dinner time, generally).

Took a chance on 2 of the...Krampi? Krampuses?...this year. I skipped the cinnamon variant b/c that's not my bag.

Pleasantly surprised by both that I had! I'll be ordering again next year for sure.

Since I moved to PP, OIB has been one of my more regular spots. I enjoy a good amount of there stuff, but they don't have too much that blows me away. The first release of Gluttonous (peanut butter/coconut) was fantastic, and their Maibock is one of my favorites of the style in the city. Krampus (and the variants) are definitely enjoyable, but I wouldn't go out of my way for them (at least not this time of year with all of the much better equivalent stouts released). But personally, I think their hazies are just OK. They don't do it for me when I'm in the mood for that style.

But that Maibock, I can't wait for that to be released again soon!

Sometimes a thread has a few posts that don't seem to make sense, and then I remember, 'oh yeah, that's why I have that guy blocked.'

He made a much worse version of that joke in 2016. He's getting tame.

For what it's worth, one of my favorite meals all-time was from Cantu's iNG (a Dalí-themed dinner), so I always hoped this place would succeed after his partners made the decision to go forward with it.

    Bump

Shower Thoughts is undoubtably the best beer I’ve had from these guys. Granted the other 2 were Beezer and Double Beezer. Tropical AF.

I’m not an IPA fan, but thats interesting Shawn.. seen it at local liquor store but passed on it, guess i should have tried it out. Was about $14 a 4 pack i think.

About a month ago I picked up their tangerine sour session i believe it was, forget the name, but wow that was a delicious beer. I recommend it for folks interested in a non ipa offering from OIB.

$14 is a steal for a 4 pack of this beer!
Cushy was the name of that sour. Didn’t get a chance to grab it first time around but will be on the lookout next time.
    They now have my attention.

I liked Double Beezer, not digging Shower Thoughts because it is too boozy. Tons of flavor, it I like a bit more restraint on the alcohol notes

Double Beezer and Shower Thoughts were both fantastic. I'm gladly picking up Old Irving over HB haze lately.
