I could be wrong, but I thought one was a sub category of the other . Like all stouts are porters, but not all porters are stouts, or vice versa

About a flat and a half of Pressed at Bloomingdale Binny's. Limit one 2 pack per. Also had a good stack of Lost in the Moment limit 2 per.

I’m not the biggest hazelnut fan, but I think this may be the best Pressed yet. Hazelnut is very balanced and not artificial tasting. It also seems less sweet than the previous versions. This is a decadent, not over-the-top beer.

My favorite iteration of the series yet.

Speaking of which...waiting for more Cross Pollination & On The Vine variants!!

I'm glad it was in two packs. It's killer.

Kind of surprised at how positive the reception is to P3 when, to me, it's exactly like his time at More (which people seemed to be getting pretty bored with before he quit).

You get a steady stream of perfectly acceptable haze and a good stout every 3 to 6 months. Maybe it'll be more interesting after they settle into their new spot.

What do you envision they do to keep you interested? A brand new haze can every week isn’t enough? This is pretty much the model for the majority of breweries right now.

I’m interested to see what’s in store for the summer months. Maybe a couple lagers and a version of Frooted or a sour? I thought I read somewhere they want to put out some west coast IPAs as well to mix things up.

The IPA they released this week was a more traditional American IPA and it was very tasty.

I always felt like the difference between porter and stouts were the presence of roasted malts in stouts... but these days so many brewers aren't even including any roasted malt.

Is selling pours out on the production floor something they do on a regular basis now until taproom is open? I assumed this was just for last weeks release of B4

I don’t make a habit of arguing with Phillballins but I think we can say the stout release schedule has accelerated beyond what it was at More. Henna B4 was at month 15 and we are through Curvature B4 in month 11. And the non BA Hennas just stopped at More which won’t be the case now

How does one come by this info? I didn’t think they had an official tap room yet. Do you just show up and hope they let you in?

Those were pouring during Curvature bottle pick up today. Don't think info is posted anywhere ahead of time and wasn't in the taproom, just in the back where bottle pick up was.

Must have missed the stouts. I got there at 4PM and all they had was Chantilly and the recent IPAs for on site consumption.

It’s a small area only a few tables but at least there is an option to have a beer while you’ll there, especially since it’s an hour drive for me.
P3 employees said they are hoping for the taproom to be open in April. Excited to see the finished product.

    I’ll save everyone a click:

The answer to the question: "What's the difference between a stout and a porter" is that originally a stout was simply a strong version of porter: today the difference is whatever you want it to be.
