What beer are you drinking now? #2674

When I woke up from my earlier nap, I thought it was Sunday. Then I realized it was Saturday. And I was happy. Now I’m happier.

 

This stuff is strait juice and tasty as hell. Not loading the skis this morning because of the 3 kids and my Valentine won’t ski at this temp. Cheers all.

 

Good day BAs! A nice, crispy 2 degrees F with a half moon peaking through the clouds when I got the paper an hour ago. Today's New Breakfast Beer, courtesy of @r0rschach:

Atlantic Brewery - Run Wild (Non.alc IPA)

Don't flay me alive, but I'm going with an N.A. offering this morning. I just can't do breakfast beers consistently like everyone else. A couple times per year, maybe, but usually just on vacation. I have work in an hour, and just needed a hoppy kickstart. I'll join in the high octane stuff this evening. May even crack a bottle.

That beer looks good, how does it taste? My drinking regime sadly does not include morning drinking, currently, but a non/low abv beer may be a good compromise. Cheers!

Grimm Double Negative

 

It's passable. It honestly just tastes like a session IPA. It's hoppy, it has some bitterness, it's crisp...It is lacking slightly in the malt department, but I can live with that. I do a monthly dry week, and sometimes (everytime) I get serious cravings for beer. It isn't the alcohol I crave, because these bad boys do the trick, and scratch that itch for me. I would HIGHLY recommend trying it. There are others, but the hoppy ones are what do it for me. I'm happy to send you some if you're unable to find any locally. Definitely check it out. They're great!

Edit: This particularly brewery has an IPA (this), a DDH IPA (my favourite), a brown ale, a stout, and a golden ale.

 

After an overnight, really a treat. Prost!

Melvin's Vladimir Gluten Imperial Stout for me and Omission Lager for my valentine.


A Mind Bloom IPA by Melvin for myself and my wife scores a Melvin cap.

 

Surprisingly good stuff. I thought this was the weakest of the ones I tried. The golden ale was best. I’m impressed by the flavour and body they can achieve in an NA beer. Drink proudly!

Apparently they have a Gose as a seasonal.

 

Olde Mecklenberg Copper Altbier. This is the best North American brewed Altbier I’ve ever had. Prost!

 

Everybody is finally awake in the homestead. Enjoying one I picked up yesterday and looking forward to doing pretty much nothing today.
