This is in fact the correct opinion.

I'll take a 4 pack of anything from the Single series over a can of KJ or VG or VH 8 days a week

Do you have family up in MA? The only reason I ask is that I see you in the NJ and NY forums a lot (Suarez mostly). I'm from MA originally and visit family up there often so I seem to run into your posts quite frequently here. Wish I could get to Suarez, Plan Bee, Notch, etc as frequently as you do! :beers:

Yep, but will need a teleport for the 23rd, as it doesn’t look like the pitch will last much longer than that

Ah, that's cool. All of my family is from NJ except for me. I'm kinda stranded here right now, hopefully moving back North soon (or better yet, back to AZ!)

That's a bummer. I'm sure they'll brew it again, though. Next time I'm up at Suarez (probably April/May) I'll shoot you a message, I'd like to buy you a pint sometime!

They’ll do it again in a few months if you miss out. Chris responded to my post in a lager thread on the main forums.

Or you could go to Portland on the 29th. Not a bad excuse to head to Portland.

I think there is, passed it just before I moved to that area, then I left.

I asked the question as a joke about some craaaaaaaaazy hypothetical law and then pretty quickly realized, oh right, it's just single-use zoning.

Hey all. I handle sales for Notch. YES distribution of our Single Series stuff is somewhat limited to Boston Metro and North Shore. That said if you have a favorite store or bar have them reach out to their respective distributor or contact us direct and we can help facilitate. In the new world of "what's new" and the influx of hyper local, things can get lost in the shuffle. Now more than ever the power of the consumer has never held more weight.

    Cheers

So tell me about the Pitch Lined Pils? How is/was it?

Did you pil pushers see that New Park got a side pull faucet? I wonder what @mountaindewORcrabjuice would have to say on the subject.
It seems like a few of these haze and sour factories are starting to try their hand at lagers. It doesn't mean they are good at it necessarily but it is still interesting. The tides may be turning.

A lot of breweries are getting side pulls. I don't think a lot of brewers are A) making beer that should be going through them B) taking the time to train staff how to properly pour from them. It's more appearances than anything.

Reminds me of cask. So many bars/breweries will do it because it’s unique and sounds cool, but do it with no regard to the style of beer or how to properly execute it.

Breweries have to try to separate themselves from the pack somehow.

Just got back from the brewery. Huge draw there today. Pitch Lined was fantastic. All the great decoction caramel/honey and rich bready malt you expect plus an even crisper, brighter, spice/woodsy hop character from the pitch. Super clean and balanced. Chris did an awesome Q&A and specifically mentioned wanting Tenner maybe getting the pitch lined treatment down the line.

It was pretty spectacular. I was with the family so it was one and done unfortunately but I did grab a four pack of polotmavy to go.

That's awesome. I had to work today unfortunately so I couldn't make it. Hope they do something like this again someday soon.

    Sounds awesome!

    You got caramel and honey?

Couldn't make it either, I'm hoping it lasts the week, but I don't have high hopes.

I think they're just trying to keep up with current trends. Everybody and their dog is writing an article about the rebirth of American-brewed lager. Appreciate that New Park is expanding their portfolio and I hope they hit it out of the park. That being said, I still can't bring myself to return on account of the ho-hum past experiences. To be honest, I'm happy as long as Jack's Abby is on the shelves in CT. Dreaming of the day I'm back in MA so I can add Notch to my list of weekly purchases.
