Kane is a MAD house right now. Definitely the most packed that I have seen it outside of release lines. Plenty of MB seemingly and still have SB sets left as of 4:15. There was a "line" (2 people) as I came up.

Might have to stop by tomorrow if there’s a lot left at closing.

Look forward to Vengeful Heart every year, regardless of the price, not the same beer as years past. If you like barleywines that's great, missing the hops though

weird. I haven’t had it since the first bottles, happened to time the visit and stumbled into them. That’s all I remember about, hefty but super hoppy. So basically completely different beer?

Wondering the same thing. The thing I always liked most about Vengeful Heart was that it was very much a barleywine but had big hops as well.

Morning Bell 2020 is a damn solid beer. It has me excited for 2020 SB and MB.

Just opened a bottle of stacking casks b2. This beer is so good. I hope kane never abandons the barleywine and seeing vengeful out yesterday makes me feel good about that. So underrated.

    1. Is your handle a "Wire" reference?
    2. Agreed on Vengeful Heart this years reminds me more of the earlier versions than the last few years

stopped in yesterday and grabbed Bell and Northern Hospitality, hopefully they will throw up the Mocha on tap. ANTEAD was off the board when I got there and BA SB sets were gone. Did get Enigma which I was just okay with. Tried Lunchbox Hero as well before it kicked

I am likely going to open the normal (all I got) tonight, can report back. Someone I talked to said it was very coffee forward, which I don't mind.

I feel like it all blended together very nicely, didn't get the overly roastyness you normally get with very coffee forward beers. Found this to be very smooth and seems like the lactose rounds it out nicely. I wouldn't say it is overly coffee forward. Like the vibe I get is more of a latte than a black coffee if that makes sense

May have to have another this weekend to confirm though.

early kane morning bells were some of my favorites...don't think those had lactose.. not sure but can't recall they did anyways.. anybody know?

i do recall their method in the early days was to like toss cold press coffee into the beer... those were my favorites... or basically any of the 2012/2013/2014 versions

i also like port omna more before the tweak

Yeah I just really hope they don’t fuck up Port Omna like they did last year. They didn’t even release the base version (which I love), just a bunch of pastry stout things.
