    NY is weird too.
NC however is famous for crooked government, even PA isn't as criminal as NC.
As far as government goes that is.

    Ah, shades of gray.

The sale of alcoholic beverages (e.g., beer) is a highly regulated business and when you combine government with special interests (e.g., Beer Wholesalers Association, Union organizations, ...) all kinds of crap happens.:slight_frown:

    Cheers!

I have wondered about Folded Mountains. Decent is it? IPA? Lager? Wheat? Oat?
    Just asking is all.

The O'Shea's Stout is crowding the shelves.
    For good reason.
It is simply Great stout. I buy it all the time.
    2 x 4 at a time.
Like I said before, dry, but not as sand dry as the most famous Stout.

As if mysteriously prompted by this thread, Wernesgruener is suddenly back on the shelves at my local Aldi. Any other Texas Aldi shoppers interested in this $5.99 six-pack of German pils may want to check their local store.

Well for about a year there wasn't any of the Pils or the Feldschlossen seasonals.
We bought Bacher a lot at our Aldi instead. It is a pretty decent German style lager and well priced too. It's more unpredictable. Sometimes it's a little skunky due to the green bottles and sometimes it's cleaner.

That's what I noticed. I was at Aldi last week and there was no Wernesgrüner.
Then last night I went back and lo and behold there it is on the shelves.

I think someone in their distribution saw my post and speed delivered some out to the Texas stores.

    Needless I bought two 6ers.

I haven't seen any Feldschlosschen beers either since last year's Maibock. Hopefully they come back as well this year.

It's an APA. I like it because it's not as bitter as some of the hoppier versions of this style and to correct my earlier post it's only $6.49 a six pack.

That one is O'Hara's re-labeled for Aldi -- great Irish Stout.

    Not to bump my post.

I just wanted to let everyone know that Aldi has dropped Licher beer due to faulty packaging.

I ran into a guy stocking the wine and asked him about the absence of Licher.

He told me it was because of too much breakage due to faulty packaging.

So I am not the only one to drop a sixer of Licher.

Sad because it is an otherwise outstanding wheat.

Hmm. Those Wernesgrüner 6-packs aren't much better -- hope that doesn't become an issue for availability.

Thanks @hottenot. Did you by any chance also ask if we are going to see Feldschlosschen Maibock this year?

Believe me they are like steel compared to Licher wet paper bag packaging.
