We visit our son in Salem every year and have visited many great breweries but have yet to get to Tree House.
What else is near Tree House that we should add to our itinerary?

Yes on BT's. Also, Sturbridge Seafood, Rapscallion Brewery, Timberyard Brewery, Altruist Brewery, Homefield Brewery, and Yankee Spirits.

Not sure of your route, but hit Ormsby Abbey in Worcester if you've never been.

Might want to look for Armsby Abbey. Ormsby is a pretty shady place...

LOL - my bad. Typo. Guess I wasn't quite awake. Greater Good in Worcester is also putting out some solid offerings as well in my opinion.

Jack's Abby/Springdale in Framingham will also be en route between TH and Salem

Only stop at these breweries if you go before Tree House. It will make you appreciate what they are doing that much more when you get there. Especially Rapscallion and The Altruist, they are pretty disappointing.

Homefield is a very unique and cool place.

Are you talking about beer related stuff only?
If not, Old Sturbridge Village is close. It is like this museum village set in the 1800's. It is pretty interesting if you are into that kind of thing.

Only compare what you deem worse against what you deem best, in that order? Hilariously weird. Tree house couldn't speak to the base of some of these "disappointing" breweries if they tried.

I feel like my logic is sound if we are in agreement that Tree House is better than Altruist.

Who is the base, people who like bad beer?

The base is the people that keeps these places open. Your "bad beer" isn't everyone's.

How much of the global beer market do you believe Tree House holds? Do you think the remainder thinks they are drinking "bad beer"? Do you really believe a tree house beer after thier favorite would make a huge dent in that number?

The base of people who love beer you think is bad is larger than you could even wrap your head around. There are people who live a stone's throw from tree house who don't drink craft and/or prefer other local breweries. I know people in both camps. Shocking.

You're right. There is no good or bad beer. It is all equal.

    Let's test yours.
Do you think Altruist is better than Tree House?
    Answer yes or no, please.

Haven't tried yet but know someone who does...where could we possibly go from here? Are they wrong or do people have different tastes? Is it possible I could also hold this belief after knowing?

I already do not hold the level of tree house love this group does. Is it possible altruist is better to me? 100%.

Does a guy I work with like Coors light better than the Julius I gave him? Also 100%.

Your opinion isn't everyone's. Suggest a place or don't. Don't play them off each other like you have superior taste buds. You don't.

    Interesting. I have. Guess what?

    Their beer is bad.

Also, the second time I was there they had some sort of tank spill. The owner decided to clean it with an absurd amount bleach in a poorly ventilated, open concept, basement brewery. He nearly gassed everyone out.

Someone here suggested going there. I suggested not going.

Don't tell me I can't call a place that I have been to, and spent my money in, disappointing when you haven't done either.

    Thank you.

I'll tell you anything I want. You cherry picked my post for the only thing that you could even respond to. Cool. You are no more important than the people I know. Your opinion is also no more important. They have spent money there as well.

You didn't say "don't go there" you said go.to the breweries in order of what you like. Very different. Sorry dude, TH isn't special or magical and people do like your "bad" better.

I don't need to spend money to be objective. You don't like that. Awesome.

Did I say it was? You are the one attacking my opinion for no reason.
Did I say it was? The OP is going there. Talk about reading comprehension.

You aren't being objective. You clearly have strong feelings about Tree House.
