Mint Condish, an Oatmeal Stout, at Twin Elephant. And I was able to meet @hopsputin! A great day so far! Cheers, everyone.

Having a 667 with my poor man's version of chilaquiles...and having a laugh at a few of these posts. Big championship fight tonight, I'll be watching. Cheers, BA's!

Now at Salud Cervecera, having something I've wanted for a long time, Firestone Parabola. Glad it's made it's way into the Carolinas.

We don’t get much sunshine in Michigan this time of year... Have to take advantage when it presents itself.

I'm at The Mother Earth Brewery in Kinston NC, drinking a Long Weekend IPA, the special of the day at $3.00 a pint! NICE!
And, waiting to go on the brewery tour.

A random Swede, this is Norrsken (Northern lights, or Aurora Borealis) by Orsholms Brygghus. Maybe I’m lucky, but of all the random Swedish beers I’ve ordered I’ve never gotten a bad one. Some have been less inspired, sure, but not a single awful one. Bless.

4204 Brewing Pecan Brown out of Belleville, Illinois. I don't know how old it is and the pecan flavor is quite subtle, but I like it.

Here's a new beer for me, which I'm having after an 8-mile hike on this sunny day near Pittsburgh, PA from a 16oz can.

La Cabra Brewing - Bearded Diva (Imperial NEIPA - 8.0%) - my overall rating = 4.24

    A - Hazy straw-gold with a 1.25-finger white head and good lace

S - Significant hop bud goodness. Leafy, vegetal, somewhat dank, orange. lemon grass.

T - Big, gooey hop forward slam echoing the aroma. Orange and other tropical fruits, along with some biscuit come lumbering along after the initial burst from the triple dry hoping. There pine and aspirin bitterness. I like the flavor.

M - Medium body and carbonation. Although it is called a NEIPA, it doesn't have a soft feel, which suits me.

O - The slam from the triple dry hoping pushes this Imperial NEIPA far enough into the West Coast territory that it appeals to me. I've never had a triple dry hopped Imperial NEIPA before so I don't know how to rate it to style :>} but give me a beer with some spicy, piney bitterness, citrus and with some crispness and chances are I'll like it. That's the case with this one.

Both the kids have friends over. I'm enjoying the noise that doesn't involve me.

It's a great beer. I have a couple bottles in my fridge that I brought back from CA in my suitcase.

Hubbard's Cave Say Nut Again Imperial Stout, 12% ABV. Pours black with a one finger brown head that's leaving a real nice lace down the glass as I drink it. Nose is just nuts, I tell you. Taste follows, moderately sweet, slightly bitter. Excellent mouthfeel, overall outstanding, but not as outstanding as their other imperial stouts. I'd stop short of calling this a pastry stout, but it's a close call. This beer has a lot of nuts!

Beer #3 is Tired Hands’ Blueberry Blackberry Raspberry milkshake. Easily in the top 5 shakes TH has done. It’s a fruit showcase, with sweetness held in check. Just how I like ‘em.
