I am doing a taste comparison of Pliny the Younger (ABV 10.25%) and Pliny the Elder (ABV 8.00%) both from Russian River. They both have a wonderful floral/piney aroma and a taste of grapefruit and pine. Pliny the Elder has a biscuit malt flavor as well while Pliny the younger has a more tart and bitter pine/grapefruit flavor, but otherwise the flavor profiles are pretty similar. Both are light to medium bodied, easy drinking, and not a hint of the alcohol in my opinion. This is great stuff.

Good morning & Happy Fat Tuesday BA
I didn’t have a Mardi Gras beer but the girl on the label of this one looks like she'd fit right in to one of those parades...

Love this beer. Big bourbon barrel & spicy pepper components with plenty more going on to make it world class.

Working nights this week so headed to bed. Cheers all and enjoy your Tuesday!

It’s funny how there’s just the slightest variation in color. That has to be one of the greatest side by sides ever. Very jealous, sir. Enjoy!

Still snowing lightly, but the major storm is about over. Now the fun begins. I'll be plowing and pushing snow for at least a couple hours.
    First a beer.

Morning BA's, good news at the Dermatologist, went in for a "cut and scrape" to remove squamous cell carcinoma from my right hand but the biopsy got 99% of it so we're going with a topical Fluorouacil for now. Taking the rest of the day off anyway to burn down sick time. Jai Alai me.....
