They get either 15 or 20% discount on purchases

I wonder if less of them will be barrel aged?

Feeling the same here. Plus, I always thought the intent was to have half Bruery BA-style beers and the other half Terreux sour-style beers. This sounds like 5 sours/fruit beers and an imperial Helles.

On a different note, has anyone tried the huckleberry beers they've put out in the tasting room? I'm loving them! Huck that berry seemed to fly under the radar. Huckle and Flow is solid too. I'm also looking forward to seeing what they have planned with the Pilot Playground. Great start! Anyone else been lately and try them?

The tasting room has been pretty dead during the week and it really deserves some additional traffic to enjoy these new beers they put on tap. I'm not one to make a favorite spot overly busy, but The Bruery TR and the staff there deserves to see the tasting room back to it's glory days and earning new customers. It would be nice to see their social media little more active to promote traffic between the TR and Terreux.

I visited the tasting room this weekend (I hadn't been in there for months, maybe a year) and it reminded me that I need to get over there more often. For me, the diversity and quality of the line up is better than what I experienced on recent visits to a lot of the other popular tasting rooms. The particular standouts were the tasters I had of Love Bites, White Chocolate with Raspberries, the Pilot Cacao, Maple and Vanilla Stout and Unwind (the hoppy pils). And, yes, unfortunately, it was pretty dead there (although I assumed that might be because everyone was at Terreaux for the Heritage BBQ). I missed the huckleberry beers, but need to go back and try those.

They've kept a really nice variety of beers on tap that the biggest challenge for me is not being able to just stick to a go-to beer like I did in the old Loakal Red days. Definitely recommend that more BA'ers go back and make it a part of a regular thing. The last few newer food trucks were not bad either. I say this after I gave up on eating off most food trucks the past few years b/c of pricing vs. quality/enjoyment.

I should have paid more attention when the boxes came up in the archive sale last year. But are they normally the current price and the tour is included? Or is there a fee for the tour added in as well?

Did I miss the release of MeeMaw's Sticky? A local retail store just got some. I guess it's distro only and not a society release?

I think about $165 was standard in the past...a couple of them varied a little. But haven't seen them bundle in the "tasting experience" in the past.

It was listed in today's March allocation email... Maybe the distribution chain just moved faster than expected.

Dang, I checked my allocations earlier and decided I wanted The Bruery Hoarders Cuvee (2017), but don't like doing orders on my phone. Finally got to the computer to order it, and it's sold out.

Making my final trip down this weekend to pick up my remaining 2019 stuff, and I plan on having one more round at each of the TR’s on Saturday (I’m going to the Archive event at Terreux). If you’re free, stop by and say hi!

    Cheers Everyone!

You’re done with the Bruery? I always got the impression they are your favorite brewery. What happened?

No, no, no. It's not so much that... you can look for more details on page 7 of this thread, but I'm worried that, while no body has "Bucked" me, that my criticism (sometimes overbearing) over the past year really strained my relationship with the fine folks at the Bruery. I had a major falling out with their former fan club's president over stuff I said, my best friend on staff over there isn't speaking to me anymore, and I just get the general feeling that I've sort of blown it. Let me stress, none of that is meant to make me sound like a victim... I can be too much for people, and that's okay. But I feel like rather than continuing to pine over that, I need to move on and let it be.

I think for me, it's easy to be overly harsh, especially over the internet, and while I've never meant for anything I've said to be taken personally, I can understand how some can take it that way (for example, I heavily criticized last year's anniversary party for the lack of BT variants... If you were the event coordinator for that event, I can understand how you could take that very personally... that wasn't ever my intention, but if the shoe were on the other foot, I'd probably take it personally too). I guess I think it would be best if I just got out of their hair. I plan to bring a thank you card to each of the TR's and one for the fulfillment center (I know it seems weird, but I think it's a good gesture... a couple of years ago, they sent out holiday cards to all society memebers, and a staff member told me that each card should have three personal signatures... I had over 15 covering the entire inside of the card). The crazy ambitious beers were what got me into The Bruery, but it was the awesome staff (people like Chris, Jeff, Emily, Ryan, Adam, Bryce, Lee, Jamie, Karina, Tom, Joel, Daniel, and the list goes on) that made me so loyal and passionate. But passion can be just as bad as it is good... I lost my cool and griped on here quite a bit... to the point where they even named a West Coast IPA after me (hahaha! That was more cool than anything). I regret it now... sure, I got my west coast IPA, my extra bottle of Chocolate Reign, and cheaper growler prices, but at the cost of people who had become personal friends. That's why I'm taking it so hard.

I'm definitely not done with The Bruery... I will always be a loyal fan, and I'm continuing my membership for the time being, but I'm sliding back for the time being before I do end up inadvertently pulling a "Buck." And I feel like if I can't repair those relationships, it's probably best for everyone if I step back.

TL;DR - It's not them, it's me. The Bruery is still, and will likely always be, my favorite brewery!

If there is one happy ending to all of this, I checked out Patrick's new winery up in Napa Valley a few weeks ago, and was greeted with a hug from him (if you know him, he's about as socially awkward as my wife, which is saying something, so the fact that he was so embracing blew me away) and his wife Rachel. They kept sliding tasters of stuff to my wife and I, insisted on comping the tasting, and I walked out having become a new member of their wine club... only to find out that I was their very first member. Patrick is insanely cool, and so I'm excited I can take the lessons learned from this ordeal, and while still supporting The Bruery, I can become a supporter of Erosion too! If he can do to wine what he did to beer, he'll be insanely successful!

Cheers everyone! And apologies for another long pity party message.

While critical as you may have been, you tended to come off more like a Bruery apologist (not in a bad way).

Maybe as someone who was actually close with a lot of the staff, there were more hurt feelings involved whereas if comments you made were made by randos (like me!), the staff would likely be able to more easily brush it off.

Grats on being Napa member #1
