SAVAGES (v2) Hints/Hauls

Had an IP meet up with @Oconomowocian and @Vidblain at Blackstack brewing tonight. They hit me pretty damn hard, and I'm in total awe.

From Oconomowocian. I've never had a New Glarus R&D before, and it's going to be shared on my North Dakota fishing trip this weekend. Also never had any Eagle Park, either.

Totally in awe with both of your kindness, and generosity. I had so much fun, and I hope to meet up again in the future. You both helped make a tough day for me so much better.

 

@azuelke knows that I had never experience the deliciousness of cheese curds before and he decided to remedy that. He also sent some great packing materials so they wouldn’t get damaged in transit.

Some of the cheese turds (that’s what my kids started calling them) have already been consumed, at room temp per instructions, and were amazing! Can’t wait to dig in to all these other goodies as well. I absolutely loved all the NG greatness Adam sent before and am looking forward to my first beers from eagle park and river lands! Came home to a return fire box from @EMH73 New brewery ticks for me from Equilibrium, Sand City, Ghost Brewing Co & Destination Unknown. Plus other killer beer from Singlecut, Finback and Maine Beer Co.

-Singlecut Plain Top, Weird & Gilly, 18 Watt IPA, Heavy Boots of Lead.

-Maine Beer Co Peeper & Lunch. Have had both before & loved them. Unfortunately the only Maine we get is usually 2-3 months old. Nice to get freshies of these!

The generosity wrath of @Franfab continues!

He hit me with a box that covers everything from barleywine & stout to lager bier & haze!



First up are some wonderful looking treehouse beers.

Lots of pictures to post!

Just got home from a weekend in Grand Rapids, MI - met up with @Joplamp @FlintB @LloydDobler @strohme2 @FFFjunkie and drank some whales. Sorry fellas, no group shots on this trip - we always seem to forget.

I should have known that somebody would send me home with goodies - @LloydDobler delivered with no less than THREE t-shirts from some kickass breweries: Jester King, Maplewood, and The Alchemist. To boot, he included what looks like a tremendously goo, rich, tart mead. Thank you, Chris - too generous!



Came home today to a stack of waiting boxes. I'm probably posting these out of order, but here goes! The first is from @Bum4ever - a box of hops that I knew was coming, but also a bottle of SARA that I'm quite psyched about. Thank you, Josh - I'm really psyched to try all of these.



Next up, a box of apple brandy wonderfulness from @Dragginballs76 . Dude, Mike - I'm so excited about that Veil bottle. Thank you again!



Finally, a box that still has me virtually speechless - @Snrubnivek silently murdering me with an absolutely unexpected box of wants and styles that are insanely specific to what I like. Seriously, insane box, Kevin - all I can say right now is thank you so much, and that I really look forward to returning the favor at some point. Cheers!

So I have been absolutely bombed by @Snrubnivek with the California looove.

He appears to have found some CA brewery holes in my catalog of ticks.



First off, two Lost Abbey brews (new brewery tick that has long been awaited. Can’t wait to try!)

Then another new brewery with Chapman Crafted. Beer of the dark & trip to the bay. Both sound awesome.
& then two from, if you would believe it or not, another new brewery, Green cheek!
Offshoot beer company with the bruery that sounds interesting!
Fremont head full of dynamite!, modern times DDH stovepipe can & 3 fieldworks beers (yet another new brewery!)

then to end the slaughter of beer, Modem Tones & Roll for initiative! Both sound amazing.

But last but not least, he threw in a completely awesome Bottle Logic glass!

What an awesome box Kevin! Filled with new ticks, new breweries, wishes & wants. Thanks so much man.

It makes me feel a little better about this having a box that should coincidentally land in Redding on Thursday, even though that box looks nothing like this one!
