I mean you're preaching to the choir here, I think we've kinda all come to the conclusion that you go out to OH when they drop ACE/SD/Mylar/HS and then maybe grab a 4 of something new that's interesting. I honestly go to ETNYC more now cause their lagers have been killer.

I had 6th last night and thought it was good, although nothing outstanding, my rating would have to be 4th>5th>6th

5th was notably better than last year's batch.

I’m sorry but this is a major breach of local code. It doesn’t matter if you don’t like it - YOU DO NOT EVER SAY THAT

If you grab a beer at Other Half that others lined up for, and you got it with zero effort - then you automatically have to pimp it on the forums. Local rule numbers one and two

These last few posts are cracking me up. Here in Vegas I got to a Other Half can drop that had 50 people lined up. Got a slew of different OH ipas along with a few I brought back from NY. Had a work conference where some colleagues brought in craft beers to share. Good stuff: Noda, The Veil, Modern Times, Wild Leap. Other Half was such the clear stand out winner it was beloved by everyone. If these are beers you guys think are slightly off their peak then jeez I’d like to see what their best is. It’s funny how perspectives change. Once you start drinking amazing beers your palate moves up to this new notch and it can’t suffer anything less than the best.

For various reasons haven't hit OH in two weeks plus, instead drinking Foam and Equilibrium and Timber and Finback and Hop Butcher et. al...and damn, I just crave DMD and ACE and HS and Mylar.

I haven't missed or lost anything as cans and drafts passed that will surely return. In perspective I've affirmed a powerful appreciation for what this team does.

Yeah, a lot of the guys in here don't realize how good they have it. Literally have people in here picking up OH on their way home from a morning jog.

I live 70 miles north of NYC and commute there for work 3x a week. I usually block out one afternoon every few weeks or so to hop on the subway, take a 30 minute ride down to OH, buy a few 4 packs of the shit that's the actual leftovers from the weekend release, cart it back to my office, then carry it on the train back up north. It seems excessive, but OH is just head and shoulders above everything else. Plus, it's not like this area is lacking for good breweries.

This is why I suggest that everyone should visit Yale Terrace 1-4 times a year. It's a good way to reset your expectations of good beers.

I think I got to Green City at like 1045 and was at the back of the early entry line and was still inside getting a pour by 1115, although lack of signs initially made it really awful to figure out where I needed to go.
Anniversary Triples, AGE & the Green City VIP beers were the only triples that I really enjoyed enough to warrant buying them or trying them again from OH. More Citra as well

I'm assuming they don't want a cease and desist from McDonalds for using the McFlurry name so they went with Concrete a la Shake Shack.

If Bloomberg was still mayor I'm almost certain he would take the train out to Gowanus to personally destroy every single bottle of that thing due to public health concerns.

anyone know what the deal is with growler fills lately? last week the website (which used to be pretty accurate for that) dwindled down to only one fill avail.. now the tab is completely removed from the website.

Their way of saying "buy the cans, bitch" in response to having so many to-go options. Another guess is they're prepping for a week of guest taps and general beetus craziness and shutting down fills til next week. Or getting rid of fills because margins aren't good enough for their moneybags.

Can confirm that on Friday there was one item on growler fill list. I am sure growlers are not going away for good, it is probably just prep for pastrytown. There will be takeover events most of the week.
