    Anchorage Brewing Co. -- Six of Swords

    look: 4.5 | smell: 4.25 | taste: 4.75 | feel: 4.5 | overall: 4.5

    Soft and and lightly cloudy yellow body; incredibly thick and creamy white head, dense and lasting with sticky rings and patches inside the glass. Beautiful fresh fruit aroma; orange and pineapple, papaya and mango; floral. Piercing sweetness with citrus tanginess in the flavor; powdered sugar; intense underlying bitterness. Heavy body; biting and acidic; alcohol warmth; semi-sweet but also with a strong dry finish.

    What an immensely intense triple IPA! It brings strong appealing elements visually and to the nose. The taste, though, will really grab you with amazing depth and structure, full of hop fruitiness and bitterness, all riding atop a soft, biscuit-like malt base. This is just one beautiful and incredible beer!

    Extremely chocolatey/fudgey and most unbeer-like. Feels/tastes like I should be chewing rather than drinking. Sorry John, definitely not to my taste.
