    I heard it's haunted. I saw Scooby and the gang snooping around over there like a bunch of meddling kids.

    This is startling. :astonished:
    It is another item of evidence for publicans who submit brewpubs and taprooms are putting them out of business.

    I got there in June 2017, during a break from the American Homebrewers' Assoc.'s National Homebrew Conference. If I recall correctly, I got a discount for showing my AHA card. :kissing_heart:
    Here are photographs I took of the building, the interior, and the beer menu for that day. The most surprising beer on tap (to me) was Destihl from downstate Illinois. Destihl still does not get that many tap handles in Chicago. I was amazed to learn it was available in Minnesota.

    Just seeing this. So sad! Enjoyed many a great beer up there while my daughter visited Macalester College in St. Paul.

    "The Gnome" will be reborn under new ownership. It will keep its craft beer focus and even revive Firkin Fest. Also, respected local chef Justin Sutherland is one of the principals behind the project.
