    Can't wait! Have a concert to go to that night as well, so it's gonna be a packed day.

    Can’t wait for some hazies on cask. Maybe the best crossover style - cellar temp and low carb perfect way to accentuate a low abv citra/galaxy juice bomb.

    Back when I spent most of my money at Redbones ... ;-)

    lol!! Redbones indeed.
    In some ways I miss the old Dilboy - not really the venue itself, but the location.
    take a spin in Downtown W&S, hit Anna's for a big ol' burrito before heading home...
    The danger at Redbones was wanting one of their really good selection of beers - after drinking for 3+ hours...not a good recipe for those who have to drive home after.

    I wonder if the event will be canceled this year due to Coronavirus?

    I'd put it at 50/50.

    I'm actually planning to attend for the 1st time in 10 years, so it will be disappointing (but understood) if it cancels.

    Highly doubt NERAX is happening now.

    Just received an e-mail from Somerville that stated this. That's not the entire thing, but you get the gist. This isn't Boston, but the dominos are falling fast here:

    • City- and School-sponsored public events and permitted public events scheduled through April 30, 2020, and which are projected to have 50 or more attendees in one location, will be canceled or postponed until a later date.
    • City- and School-sponsored public events and permitted public cultural events with 49 or fewer attendees will implement social distancing guidelines AND all such private events are strongly advised to comply with the following protocols as well:
      • The event must be held in a space large enough to prevent crowding for the expected attendees. Social distancing for attendees must be possible (six feet apart or more).
      • If food is served:
      • arrange for prepackaged foods such as boxed lunches or food to be served by staff who are trained in safe food handling;
      • do not serve foods where multiple hands will touch the food (e.g., buffet style) (again, served food by staff trained in food handling could be substituted);
      • ensure hand-washing facilities are accessible and supplied with adequate soap and paper towels;
      • if available, provide hand sanitizer for attendees for in-between hand washing opportunities.

    Yeah after today’s events I’m writing it off. I’d be shocked if it’s still held at this point - not necessarily my opinion, but seeing where things are headed.

    Could they even import the UK firkins with the travel ban?

    The restriction don't apply to the UK or any cargo.

    Which makes perfect sense of course given that the UK case load today looks essentially like what Italy looked like 10 days ago :rolling_eyes:

    Month late and a few hundred billion dollars short.

    This just popped up in my inbox:

    ==========================================
    Hello: I've already fielded several queries about the state of the approaching NERAX. We have a meeting scheduled for Sunday at which the possible cancellation of the festival will be the primary topic. I will send a broadcast email providing the decision. Frankly, I don't see how we can proceed with the festival, given that the National Basketball Association has cancelled the remainder of its season. That's pretty serious, even for someone such as me who hates basketball. I don't hate beer, though, and I fear this is going to be very, very sad.
    Stay cautious; stay healthy.

    Shitty but the right thing to do given the circumstances.

    Thanks for posting this. I meant to delete my post because right after I posted I realized the UK wasn't affected.

    Not that any of this matters anyways because the festival will likely be canceled.

    Amazing how the tone went in 48 hrs on this from “yeah, it should be OK” to “of course it should be canceled”. I’m included in that. Completely changed my mind in the past 24 hours & I think I’m not alone.
