I had to repost this after it got out of hand.

Attempting to hopefully round up a beer or two from my personal bucket list.

Some of these are lofty wants way out of my reach (like the whole top 15) Ignore those. It's just too much trouble to selectively delete them, as this is all copy/paste from my BA profile. Ones I've had are removed. The list is in order, but I'm interested in any of them. Also interested in any Side Project, Hill Farmstead, Lost Abbey, deGarde, Casey, Jester King, as well as other appreciated wild ales, any lambic, and maybe some stouts.

I have a few other options I'd prefer not to post FT, but if it comes down to it, I could possibly offer a few "bigger beers", but I'm hoping not to part with those. Let's talk!

    Cheers!

I have like 25 of your isos or more. What are these bigger beers. Let's be transparent here. Literally nothing on your list intrigues me

Well I'm sorry about that. It's what I have to work with right now. Nothing you'd be interested in. They're not "big beers", they're just bigger. Dark Lord '19, FOb4, etc... Mid-tier stuff. They're beers I traded for - specifically to enjoy, and would prefer not to trade them, but I suppose everything has a price. I hope you enjoy those 25+ beers or get something you want for them. Considering you have two SR-71s as your profile pic, I can assure you we're not on the same page here.

    Cheers

I’ll just point out that it’s interesting that Jester King Spon Flor is listed as unobtainable yet Cantillon Soleil de Minuit is still listed as acquirable. In fact it’s listed twice.

Thanks for pointing that out. I checked the paper list too (about 5 years old) and sure enough, it's on there twice too. Soleil de Minuit is actually available to purchase for on-site consumption at a local place, and I know two guys that have a bottle. For that reason, I think my odds of encountering that are slightly higher than Flor, but you're right, that's definitely not a piece of cake.

I told myself I'd never give up on, or cross a beer off the list when I first wrote it. Have to at least be optimistic, right?

Do you have access to fresh IPA's? If so, which ones.

Wow I did not know anywhere in the US would have it. If I had to guess I would think you’re talking Ebenezer’s but still that’s pretty crazy. I mean you’re probably best off just going there and getting an in-house bottle then. I’d have to think trading for one would be much, much tougher than something like KBBS, which is obviously extremely tough to land on its own.

Spon Flor is definitely the best unfruited Jester King beer I’ve had and possibly the best overall Jester King I’ve had. And there can’t be a ton of them out there at this point. That said, I think a lot of the beers on your list are harder to score than Spon Flor, so if you’re going to leave them on your list, you shouldn’t give up on Spon Flor.

I'm surprised you're familiar with that place. You're probably right, between there, Novare, and an "under the table" private place, that's probably my best bet for trying some of the more limited lambic. You really think it'd be harder than a KBBS? Huh, well then again, KBBS is more expense and hype, rather than true rarity. Perhaps you're right. As for SPON Flor, I've tried and tried for that one, and based on what a few people told me, it just sounded like a lost cause. I could probably trade a Cable Car for one (mayyybe), but I'd rather just enjoy my Cable Car, to be honest. I appreciate that though. I know it's not OWK, but it just seemed like a lost cause after a while. I don't have the ammo for something like that right now, but I'll definitely consider it if and when I do. Thanks!

I'm sorry - those are big wants, but I'm afraid I wouldn't have anything sufficient enough to trade for them. Thanks though.

So what is the point of this post? You didn't even counter offer. If you don't have sufficient beers to trade for kane Sunday brunch variants or juice Machine you 100% won't get any others on your ISO list.

To find people who are interested. I think I have a few sufficient beers, but they're not sufficient to you, so why would I even bother? The point of my post is for people who want the beers I posted. Not to message me and ask, "what else in your cellar will you part with?". For Juice Machine, I'd probably offer anything on my list except for Bardus. For Sunday Brunch, I may add '19DL or something. If you were actually interested, you would have messaged me. There's a reason I have a list of beers for trade.

If '19DL is from your "bigger beers list" this is a lost cause.

Precisely what I said. Ask that 7irondave guy to grab one at his local Boston bottle shop. I already got an offer for Juice Machine though. Thanks anyway.

But...but wait...wasn't it you who said all my FTs are widely available shelf beers? I could have sworn you did. If you're going to make a point to belittle my trades, at least pick one and stick to it.

Mmm...no, you definitely said "everything", but I appreciate you backing that up a bit. I still have to get most Bissell at the brewery, because, you know, that's where it's sold, but you tried. Sometimes you don't always get it right.

That's right, I did what supposedly was the one thing that would get you guys to grow up and leave me alone, so if you want to stop this petty back and forth, trust me, I am all for it. I'll even let you get the last word. I know you really want it. At this point, no one is gaining anything from this.
