    I had planned on going pretty hard today, but the wife and kids are on lock down with me and today is my only day off with no rain forecasted. Going to pop in and out here along with trimming trees and shrubs and putting up a new mailbox.

    Happy St. Patrick’s Day. -was supposed to be roasting (blasting) potatoes and cabbages with an immense lens with my AP physics students, but we are not convening physically and it is raining , so no sun. (We start remote assignments tomorrow).
    Lagunitas’ willetized Coffee Stout aged in rye oak barrels is boozier than I remembered. Cheers!

    Southern Prohibition Typical Tuesday American Pilsner

    Light golden color with white cap and lacing.

    A clean aroma of sweet malt and floral, spicy hops.

    Taste of lightly caramel malt balanced by sharp, floral hops. I cannot identify these hops except to say they are bold and bright in a floral way. Simple flavors that work and finish dry. Interesting take on the Pilsner style being fuller and punchier than the usual European examples yet not brash. It comes across as simple, clean, uncluttered and unsubtle yet very enjoyable.

    Medium full texture with a bit more carbonation than needed.

    This brew is more Pilsner than AAL pretenders and should make a good food match.
