There's still plenty of action it seems. Are there any extra precautions that should be taken? Do folks expect that parcels will receive more scrutiny or be delayed as this drags on?

Reminds me of a FB post from a mule trader/seller who states he is now charging $50 for effort (not sure what it was before) because clorox wipes are expensive and cleaning bottles is time consuming. I about fell out of my chair lol

To answer your question, I don't think any precautions need to be taken since the virus last 3 hours on surfaces unless plastic or stainless steel which in some cases could last 3 days. I could be totally wrong though, look forward to some answers from BA's top covid analysts though!

Have you seen the secondary market on clorox wipes?

NYT had an article this morning that stated survival up to 72 hours on plastic and steel, 24 hours on cardboard, and 4 hours on copper.

Personally I wouldn’t worry too much about trading beers with the amount of time between packing and unpacking but you can always take the precaution of cleaning off cans/bottles.

honest answer? well i’ve got a couple boxes trickle in. i spray the box down and it’s contents. feels foolish maybe, but whatever, it gives me piece of mind i guess. it’s also the carriers, people might be working sick (or don’t even know they are sick) because they have no sick leave.

i sent out 1 box last week before things got tighter, and even then i sprayed down my side too.

This can't be any more dangerous than the mail/packages we all continue to get from USPS, right? And based on a small number of datapoints, I haven't seen shipping delays...I shipped two boxes on Monday (and had one shipped to me) and all arrived in 2 days, which is the usual timeline for these routes.

The usps has been releasing official statements on covid19, and as of a few days ago there appears to be no risk or restrictions. They only said they couldn’t guarantee something about timelines on international priority mail.
And yes if it spends 3 days in a box it’s safe anyway.
