Welcome to New Brew Thursday, I figured that with the merging of BeerAdvocate and Untappd it would be a fun chance to get two days in a week with new beer reviews. If you are unaware Untappd gives you a badge every Thursday you have a new beer you have not checked in yet.

I hope this to be a cross between NBS and WBAYDN with fewer rules so grab a new beer and share your thoughts.

My new Brew today came from @JBowenGeorgia and is from Creature Comforts Subtle Alchemy blend #2, this oak aged saison was also aged on second use Balaton cherries for 22 months and it shows in the flavors very well done and thanks John for this amazing beer 4.5 on the Untappd scale!! Cheers!!!

Pours yellow with a nice lively white cap. nose is oak and funk. Cherries really come out in the flavors really nice dry finish.

Hello New Brew Thursday! @thisischuck01 randomly sent me this huge want today, and I made it almost 6 hours without popping it open. For me, that’s pretty good.

    4.4/5

Absolutely killer nose. OJ for days. Taste is massive orange flesh, pineapple, mango. Incredibly smooth, without even a hint of booze. Looks like a stone-cold stunner too. Lives up to the hype. Thanks for making this happen Charles!

My new beer on this ugly Thursday...Circles from Rake Beer Project in Muskegon, MI. A raw sour IPA with blueberry and black currant. Farmhouse yeast and sour berries make this beer pop. Light blue color, very little head. Sharp acidic back end where the berries really shine! Supporting locals that need to stay afloat...especially when The Man tries to keep you down!

    4.25 out of 5

Nice hit of pineapple upfront, followed by a light tropical flavor all the way down. Smooth and easy drinking, thanks @jonbonfondle!

    I'd give it a solid 4.125 / 5 if I had to rate.

This song came to mind whilst indulging...

    Cheers, New Brew Thursday!

This Highlander Weiss from Carton pours bright, deep gold to pale amber. Translucent with a slight chill haze. Some visible carbonation and a very fluffy, rocky and tightly packed white head that settles down with a lot of lacing on the sides of the glass.

Really pretty aroma. Some vinous white wine notes. Dry, crackery wheat aromatics. Slight lacto cheesiness, which is pleasant and adds some complexity to the aroma.

The flavor is moderately tart with some lemon juice acidity. The finish is very long and defined by lingering acidity and snappy, crisp, dry and crackery flavor.

Very light bodied on the feel and prickly carbonation.

Another wonderful kettle sour from this Carton line. An absolute summer crusher or really just an everyday supplement for white wine.

This evening I had a new brew courtesy of @r0rschach - Jester King Atrial Rubicite. Pours a deep red color, almost like grape juice with a thin pink head. Taste is a nice tart raspberry flavor reminiscent of a dry red wine. It’s excellent.

I have been working from home all week so I’ve been listening to a lot of instrumental post-rock music. Here’s a good one from Caspian.

thanks @Dragginballs76 for kicking off this thread, my new brew today is from you Mike!

The look is mildly translucent golden yellow/orange mix (lighter than the picture shows). Minimal off white head rests on top and quickly subsides to a thin ring. I’m a little out of my element when describing sour smells, but I will try. Sharp vinegar? Strong on the nose with some white grape hiding underneath. The taste isn’t quite as sour as the nose would have me believe. Sharp tartness and a little pucker up front is soon mellowed by some of the best muscadine flavor coming out. Light body, moderately acidic, with some gastric warming and hopefully not heartburn. Finishes dry. Overall this is very good. Delicate and subtle. You’re the man Mike!

and a little shout out to my favorite artist right now

    Happy NBT folks !

Beer kindly provided by @Jimmy_Kneecaps . Thanks man!

Smooth and slick . Brown sugar, raisins and maybe even plum combined with a hint of booze. Definitely hits the style mark .

Cheers to the new forum, @Dragginballs76 ! I'm your Huckleberry - I'm joining you today for a new-to-me beer from Jester King.

La Vie en Rose is a farmhouse ale refermented with raspberries. It's quite light, which may be lost in the pictures - it's certainly no Atrial Rubicite. The body pours much thinner, for one, and it very much lacks that pungent tart and sour character of raspberry. Interestingly, there isn't a whole lot of raspberry to this one but for the color and a very mild berry note that can't quite be placed. It's just slightly funky. Not much in the nose, and a very light pink head with mild carbonation.

I give this beer props for how light, mellow, and smooth it is - but it doesn't leave much of an impression. Who knows - this may just be me, as I am in the midst of day 4 of a spring cold... but I was quite ready for a beer.

    Cheers, NBT!

    New Brew Thursday?

I can get down with that. I’m sipping on one from @Snrubnivek that I’m enjoying greatly.

    Bottle Logic-Roll for Initiative.

It’s awesome. Bourbon soaked fudge brownies, touch of vanilla & huge waves of the cassia bark; cinnamon roll. Warmness lingers in the chest.

    Cheers all!

Thanks for leading this off @Dragginballs76!! My new beer Thursday contribution is a 2015 vintage Old Milwaukee. Pours a golden straw color. Smells... awful, like stale beer the morning after a party. Taste is beyond terrible. I don’t believe I’ve drank pee before but this is what I envision it tasting like.

Desperate times call for desperate measures due to COVID-19. I give this a 69 / 420,420 Cheers all!!

Pours a slightly brownish orange, great head retention and lacing. Smells and tastes of orange, cantaloupe, pine, floral hops and some caramel. Thanks Jon.

Tonight's new brew is a local one purchased yesterday. Planning to do this as much as possible to support them. This one tastes just like the drink - tropical with spice from the nutmeg. Chocolate on the back palate. Milk stout base is silky. Glad I have the whole 4pk. Cheers!
Thinking about all the BAs trying to figure this world out. Especially everyone on the front lines.

Coffee notes are robust. I like the milk sugar and the flaked oats gives it a creamy consistency.
