Happy New Brew Thursday peeps!

My new brew is a Fox Farm farmhouse ale sent courtesy of @colby600 . I've been a huge fan of everything I've had from them, so big expectations here.



Pours a dark straw color with an enthusiastic foamy white head that soon settles but doesn't completely fade away. The nose is fantastic, musty hay and bright lemon... just perfect. Taste follows: light hay/spice, bright citrus, lightly tart, crisp. Absolutely delicious, thank you for sharing Bill!

I didn't get a new NBT badge, but I did get this:

 

My wife was pretty thrilled I was going to be clearing out cellar space during our lockdown. Then you and @bl00 had to drop those boxes on me yesterday. I was excited about it. Her, not so much.

 

Based on the name, I would assume this is only for new ticks, and only on Thursdays. Am I wrong in my assumption @Dragginballs76? Isn't WBAYDN for any day, anytime?

I’m also enjoying seeing people share their Untappd badges, almost all of which are triggered by new check-ins. With not everyone being able to be active on Sundays, this seems like a promising compromise.

 

It’s nice seeing all you old-time Beer Advocates back on this site! Untappd should give you badges for posting here.

This just fired a brain cell. I remember trying to instigate Throw Down Thursday like 5 or 6 years ago where everyone would pick two heavyweights in the same style and do a side by side comparison. I remember Todd saying something like “Yeah. We’re not doing this”.

Here is my new brew for the day.

Nomad from Tree House. A Czech dark lager. Tmavé pivo.

Very dark brown, barely transparent without sufficient lighting.

Head is rich and creamy and lingers.


Earthy noble hops over roasty malts, toasted grains. Sweet with subtle grass and hay.
Overall a very enjoyable brew.
