@Snowcrash000 when all this crap blows over, I'd be more than happy to help you replace that beloved Tired Hands teku glass for you. I live not far from TH and am there all the time. I too have a bunch of their Tekus and love them dearly. Cheers.

    you can order them online

On the topic of glasswear, I almost always use a teku or a willi becher. Tulips/snifters are also pretty versatile

Well, I'm in Germany, so that makes things a little more difficult. But thanks a lot for the offer and information anyway .

Over-sized Duvel glass is great for almost any style.

Well, they can put a proper head on a shaker pint, and often do, but then they rob you of beer. Because that sure as shit ain’t 16 oz. of liquid in the glass at that point.

I have that same glass and posted it earlier. Just use a cheap bottle brush and you're good to go, no more cleaning troubles. Cheers!

    My Bissell Brothers IPA glass(es)

Versatile, but not the most versatile in my opinion. I do love this glass though. It’s sturdy and I love the look and feel. I have two, one that’s for 12 oz., the other for 16 oz. Both have a marking for the 12 and 16 oz. lines, so there’s room for head.

    12 oz. pictured here:

I have that Teku. It was a gift. Never used it but it sits displayed in my glass cabinet.

Sorry to see yours in that condition.

Bucolic overlord was the first DIPA I had that was not a sweet syrupy mess.

    Enjoy

    Dimpled mug or
Willi Becher glass...16-20oz ranges. I like the mug for the handle when paired w/finger foods, hate a greasy fingered up glass.

I have a nice collection, but these are the ones I use at home 90% of the time.

I saw that, and hopefully you can get it off their website, but if you need help we could probably figure something out. Glad to offer help.

It’s why I live for flea markets and consignment shops. I can surely buy what I like, but I live to spend like $2 on some cool glass. The thrill of the hunt counts for me.

I'll second (or 8th?) the Duvel tulip. I've had a pair of them for well over 10 years, and the logo is pretty much worn off both of them. They work great for everything, they hold 20oz, and they're extremely durable. The perfect beer glass.

Yeah I don’t see how this isn’t the answer.

They’ll easily hold a 16 oz. beer, it’s a tulip so it’s great for enhancing aromatics and flavors, it’s fairly hefty compared to some other glasses, and it has an etching at the bottom to maintain a nice head on the beer.

Oh, and you can typically get one if you buy a Duvel four pack. Which means you also get to drink Duvel!

How about the ultimate in simplicity. A red wine glass, there’s a reason they’re different than glasses used for White or sparkling. Actually the HF Balloon Glass is about right, although I’ve never used it for Pils. But red wine glasses are designed to concentrate the aroma with enough air space to breathe a bit, I can’t think of any beer that’s not helped by this ability, short of cheap AALs and the like. Imo better out of the can or bottle.

I want to say Garrett Oliver said this is the best glass for beer. I’m kind of curious if I can dig that information up...I could just be making this up.

Edit: Here’s one of his quotations, I think this one is from the Oxford Companion to Beer.

“All the aspects above are well served by Belgian-style “tulip” glasses, and similar glassware styles have been adopted by craft brewers worldwide. When appropriate beer glassware is unavailable, there is no reason for any hesitation to use wine glasses, which are well suited to the appreciation of most complex drinks. White wine glasses tend to be the most versatile, but red wine glasses can be appropriate for very strong, complex, or aged beers.”

The most versatile beer glass is the one that is empty, you can put ANY beer in it.
