You have to hit three different Thursday’s in a 30 day stretch. I saw the initial post here but it isn’t a weekly badge.

I have a bias against local brewers often. I don’t know why, but dammit, some are making pretty good drinks. Robots are Cool by War Horse. DDH NEIPA with Citra, Mandarina, and Moteuka. 9% ABV. Canned 02/12/20. Grapefruit nose all day from a foot away. Thick creamy head, one might call pillowy. First sips are bold but not overpowering grapefruit, sweet like a red grapefruit, no bitter pithiness. Slight mandarin orange in the middle with a tiny hint of bitterness toward the back. Lactose does well to keep it creamy smooth like a smoothie. Alcohol is nowhere to be found. Incredibly easy to take big swigs and down this 16 oz bad boy. Loads of lacing, head stays fully across the whole surface throughout. Really good. I guess I do like beers other than barleywines and stouts!

If I recall correctly, I think my post had Old Rasputin vs Founders Imperial Stout. Still a tough call to this day.

Super creamy, earthy maple, fudge, rich coffee. Sweet but not over the top.

It's funny how people think they know you simply because you've banned over one million users.

Bought at my local beer shop. The beer manager has a good relationship with some of the area’s smaller breweries and as a favor put 2 kegs of Urbanrest on the growler fill. This is Urbanrest Static Limitation.

    Packaged today.
Pours a dingy and dirty gold. Decent head that recedes fairly quick. Nose of papaya and mango. Similar taste. Soft tropical fruits, dirty guava, bit of pine and grapefruit at the finish. Feels a little thin but still drinks nicely. 4.02

Back with the barrel aged version of my first New Thursday Brew, also complements of @colby600 . I loved the base, so expectations are high.

Pours a murky dark hay color, foamy white head that persists a while. The same musty hay and bright citrus that I loved in the base, accented by some lovely barrel work. Lightly tart, nicely dry. Just a fantastic farmhouse, thanks again Bill!

I know. They don't show your progress, and I'm not tracking, so maybe next Thursday.

Going local with #2 tonight, Kascade Kid Keller from 1840. They were in the lead for a while in the best new brewery in the USA Today poll that just closed. Don't think they posted the results yet.

Pours a little cloudy, bright white head with a nice balance between bready floral hops. These guys do some good stuff at 1840, I have been super impressed with some of their hops. Cashmere Sweater in particular is wonderful.

I figured that my suggestion was too much to comprehend, but that would definitely crash the Matrix.

Don't know how I didn't catch this thread earlier!? At first I thought it was contracting the whole purpose of NBS but then I remembered the whole merger thing and I guess it seems perfectly fine and within " Merger Context " @Todd.

Personally speaking in order to maintain the identity and uniqueness of BA, I wouldn't allow this thread to exist because we already have one dedicated to serve that purpose which is UNIQUE to BA and provides the same function.

Nothing against @Dragginballs76 but we already have NBS for New Beers! Lets of course be thankful that BA has more funds to which to work with but hopefully not at a comprise of BRAND IDENTITY.

2nd new beer for the day - wrapping it up with something dark before I work on a new bottle of whiskey. I've had this sitting in the fridge for a bit - I was pretty nervous about it, due to all of the review notes regarding cherry cola.

    #barleywineislife

Revolution's Ten Year Beer (X) - it's damned uncanny how un-barleywine this is. That cherry note really thins the body of this beer out and dominates the toffee and caramel notes. What it is, though, is quite smooth - there's no trace of ABV or hops. Count on Revolution to release a quality beer - even if it's not exactly what everyone expected. Even if that cherry cola doesn't do it for me, maybe others dig it?

Thank you once again for the PGW, @Franfab !

@bstoos You might just enjoy some Envy (note: there are vocals to a lot of their tracks, but you may still be in to it).

Nice value-add. Do you find that kissing up to the boss is more effective in a public forum vs. private message?
