@DEdesings57 is entitled to his opinion. I think we can all move on from this now.

One more new one tonight, split with my son. Big day today and I'm celebrating. Anyway, this is another masterpiece from Bearded Iris. The cinnamon is there but perfectly applied with presence but not dominance. Vanilla and rich milk chocolate met with a great barrel presence. Outstanding![IMG]

I hate to break it to you but the badge criteria is not for every Thursday. It is as follows:
"It's New Brew Thursday! Drink any beer you have never had before on three Thursdays in a 30 day period!"

    bl00 and DEdesings57 like this.

Sarcastic. Let me ask this, you don't find this thread redundant at all? Or is it just because of the merger that it's not to you?

I'm confident that the community can let it go - when he does.

Nope, this is Thursday, not Sunday.

So are you going to post a New Brew for today, or continue to be off-topic?

I also want to add to that by saying I dont mean my opinion to be hostel. But I will react to sarcastic comments made to me.

I say the only rule for New Brew Thursday should be you cannot use bold font

Happy to join the festivities tonight. Thanks to @Dragginballs76 for starting us off!

In anticipation of possible quarantine, I took the opportunity to place an order with Levante since I'm working from home. The box was delivered this morning with many new ticks.

Pours a muddy gold, head develops slowly. Smells like vanilla with some tangerine and peach. Taste is orange, lemon meringue, lime zest. Bitter but juicy. Medium mouthfeel. Tonight this beer feels a bit too bitter for me, though is still pretty good. I'm looking forward to trying more from Levante

I was between this song and something off Hyprocrisy's album Virus, but let's lean to PMA.

My last question for you, if the merger did not exist would this thread still be a valid one?, yes or no ?

I’m back with New Brew Thursday #2. Given to me in person by @FrankenMiller when I met up with him at Ellipsis Brewery a year ago. Thanks, Gene!

The beer pours viscous and dark brown from the bottle. A finger of pretty densely packed, espresso foam colored head settles down to a thin layer across the top of the beer. Nearly black and opaque in the glass. No lacing with this 13.7% beer and no visible carbonation.

The aroma is big, roasty, earthy and inching toward umami. Black coffee. I’m loving what I’m getting so far. It’s got that aged Zhukov thing going on aromatically, which I absolutely love. Red apple, oak, and some fresh, dark berry aroma. Warming nose at 13.7%.

The taste is nice. On the tip of the tongue some sweet berry and chocolate. Mid palate some berry tartness and bitterness. A bit gritty and tannic grape skin thing going on. It’s has a red wine thing going on. Red apple and a lot of apple skin. The finish is long and dries out some with lingering notes of dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee bean. There is some slight oxidation but no where near the level that turns me off.

The feel is a bit gritty and tannic. A lot of woody oak. Medium level of carbonation. Semi-dry.

No idea what this beer was like fresh. It’s pretty interesting with almost three years on it. Quite complex. I’m enjoying it a lot. I tend to drink quickly. This one is not the most drinkable beer I’ve had. But it’s a really nice, complex sipper.

Take your ball and go home if you don’t like it. It’s been OK’d by the powers that be so add something relevant or read the first part of my post. Ughhhh.

    Enjoy

Man I am not usually the one to get things back on track, but guess its a day for all kinds of new stuff. Also, I'm glad this thread started, I love NBS, but can't post much because I don't drink much on Sunday's.

    My new beer:

    Moonraker Sails Meeting:

First off, I will start by saying I haven't had a new moonraker tick I have liked this much in awhile.

Look: Hazy and thick and nice off white head with a bunch of lacing.
Smell: Tropical fruits, mango, pineapple and a really good amount of melon.
Taste: Tropical fruits and melon and a hint of hopiness.
Feel: Medium-bodied, with the right amount of carb. Super soft feel and a great dry finish.
    Taste: Excellent Imperial IPA.

    Great idea @Dragginballs76

Why do you care? Are you the one responsible for the merger?
