Have a good Friday. I’ve been up all night wired on BANG, listening to music and reading tabs. I found an easy Gorod song plus an After The Burial song I will be able to learn relatively quickly, so going to get those knocked out and probably recorded this weekend. Probably going to fire up Oblivion later, I took a couple days off. The new DOOM Eternal looks amazing as hell, but I am probably going to wait for a Steam sale to grab it. I haven’t paid full price for a game in 10 years, no sense starting now

Anchorage The Turning Shape. Favorite style. Outstanding tripel. Great fluffy head retention/thick foamy lacing. Aromas and flavors of big lemon, pear, red apple, peppercorn, light banana/clove, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, candi sugar, light honey/toast, wood, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness; and yeast spiciness on the finish. Medium-high carbonation, medium-plus body, and fairly crisp finishing. Balanced bready/grainy malts and sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Light lingering resins. Light-moderate increasing bitter/spicy/carbonated dryness; no hop astringency. Dangerously smooth, pretty refreshing, mild increasing warmth of 8.5%. Awesome balance of Belgian yeast complexity, earthy Saaz hops, and a clean pale malt backbone. Minimal residual sweetness with crisp dryness. Loved it! Spot on style. 4.15

I got up early to lift weights in my basement. I completely misfired on a snatch, and essentially gave myself a Stone Stone Stunner when the barbell crashed onto the back of my neck, it fell forward to the ground, then I flung backwards once it cleared my head. I dusted myself off, then went right to my refrigerator to grab this beer.

 

Stellwagen Unicorn Rides. Awesome NEDIPA. Great rocky head retention/foamy lacing. Aromas and flavors of big tangerine, white grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, mango, honeydew melon, guava, blueberry, gooseberry, red apple, white grape/wine, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, and pine hops; with moderate wheat, cracker, white bread dough, light honey/toasted malts; and herbal/floral/grassy hop earthiness. Light pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body; very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/grainy, and fairly sticky/resinous/rindy mouthfeel. Lightly increasing lingering resin dryness; no hop astringency. Super smooth/soft, minimal warming 7.7%. Awesome Nelson Sauvin, Citra, Mosaic profile. Very vibrant and fairly juicy/dank/earthy hops; with a nice wheat/oat/malt backbone. Light residual sweetness with lingering resin dryness. Spot on stuff! 4.1
