Wait Out the Storm is definitely unique. Not in a bad way, it’s a change of pace for sure. I tried adding some salt thinking that a Gose style might be more balanced, but it’s too thick. The taste is more balanced but it’s an odd experience with the creamy mouthfeel. Would have been happier with the Maibock or Double Drive Thru. Happy to gift a can of it to anyone near Oak Park. PM me.

Ended up getting a 4 pack, will try some tonight and let you all know.

Only thing I don't like a PW lager program is the pricing. $16 for a 4 pack is a bit much, I probably would have passed if I had seen the price before I was at the checkout.

 

Yeah, I guess I at least feel alright supporting my small shop and one of my favorite breweries in this strange time.

 

$16? Yikes! I don't believe I've paid that much for any of the other lagers before (usually $10.99 I believe). I guess I'll find out on my Binny's trip this afternoon. If that's the price, I'll stick with the Region X 4 packs I've been getting the last couple of weeks.

 

I know the bock has been expensive in the past as well.

I think a couple of their lager offerings are like $10-12 but I know quite a few are more.

Bock = $14.99
Rauchbock = $14.99
Schwarzbier = $13.99
Oktoberfest = $12.99
Maibock = $13.99

 

Bock was one I missed. Maybe I just never paid attention to the prices of some others.

 

COuld be, I just updated my last post with some pricing details via Binny's. I should mention that I paid $16 out the door earlier for Maibock so I'm sure MSRP was closet to $14.

 

I was just about to do the same thing after looking at Binny's site. I never bought either of the bocks, but had all of the others (including Hefe and Helles). I definitely didn't pay attention in the past (which makes sense as I usually purchase multiple things, and tend to throw money around like I'm rapper at Binny's). At $13.99, I'll definitely be purchasing a pack of Maibock.

 

I’m a big fan of Tip Top Maibock. That is all.
