the hype behind hidden is from a mule group.... their beer is not close to being on par with cycle, ac and many others.

Doug hated that his bottles sold on Secondary for hundred and with OG Scoop $1000 at one time. Once he was able to ramp up production he was much happier. I did once here him say hif he could close the taproom and just do distro he would. Dont know why Taprooms make lots of money.

Some hidden stouts are really good, others not so much. Even the Berliners are hit or miss sometimes. It doesnt help that the chick that runs the taproom is a complete bitch. Too bad justin is a hell of a guy...

    1) it’s cheaper to package beer in kegs for taproom consumption than bottles (you can reuse kegs)

    2) there isn’t a middleman that gets a cut in taproom sales versus distribution where the distributor gets paid as well as the final place selling the bottles.

there are other reasons too, those were the ones just off the top of my head

I think he meant ‘don’t know why, tap rooms make a lot of money’.

Excuse my lack of punctuation..... I work all day on a computer... sometimes when I am on my phone I dont use punctuation.... Kinda like this sentence...

To make my point... in 2013 the Cigar City tasting room did $6M in sales. That is nothing to sneeze at. (I used to know the GM of the taproom, he is no longer there)

I can assume that without bottle sales Cycle is probably doing at least $1M per year in the Taproom.

I knew what you meant, was trying to clarify for others. I completely agree with you.

Drinking a Cycle Hazelnut right now, anyone else have one recently? Smells fantastic! Taste is not bad but maybe a very slight sour finish. The mouthfeel is kinda flat also. Just wondering if this is normal or maybe an off bottle

Actually I just looked at the bottle, it appears to be from 2018. I dont think it was an off bottle, unless they brewed a new batch and used the 2018 date label. I just picked it up Saturday from the brewery. The other bottles from this year have been great all around. Drink fresh, do not age is correct

Any idea if/when Cycle plans to reopen the tasting room? Hoping to make a visit in July and just curious. Looks like a lot of Florida breweries are back open in some capacity
