Have a good Monday. I got a nice 12 hour sleep last night, as I was awake for over 24 hours prior to that with my new HDD and other stuff. Hoping to be a regular day of gaming and other things. Hope I get a job call back today since I applied to some over the weekend. Got a bit of snow since I've been asleep. Should be getting some more today according to the radar.

Surly Abrasive. Amazing as usual this year, glad they are in the state now. Aromas and flavors of huge tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, guava, berries, citrus peel/rind, peppercorn, pine, honey, toasted biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy hop earthiness. Good sized pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; balanced creamy/bready malt and sticky/resinous/rindy hops in the mouthfeel. Moderate increasing resin dryness; minimal lingering hop astringency. Fantastic Citra showcase. Supper juicy, vibrant, dank, and earthy hops; with a nice sized bready malt backbone. Minimal residual sweetness with lingering resin dryness. Would get another pack if still around.

@superspak good luck on the job hunting. I can only imagine how hard it is right now but I know it’ll work out.

Amazing NETIPA as usual this year. Aromas and flavors of huge tangerine, white grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, red apple, guava, berries, citrus peel/rind, pepper, and pine hops; with moderate wheat, white bread dough, toasted biscuit, light honeyed malt balance; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light pine, citrus peel, herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation, and medium-plus body; very creamy/bready/grainy malt and some sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Slight resins/rinds, increasing bitter dryness, no hop astringency. Mildly increasing warmth of 10.08%. Dangerously smooth/soft, not aggressive. Amazing Citra, Chinook, Crystal hop profile. Super juicy and fairly dank hop complexity; balanced creamy/bready wheat/oat backbone. Light residual sweetness with lingering dryness. Hope they keep releasing it in the future.

I'm having a Sam Adams Cherry Wheat. I was excited for this one. It's a cherry bomb. The aroma is overwhelming cherry candy. The palate is dominated by cherry candy flavor, but it isn't as overwhelming as the nose. It's really a one trick pony and that trick is cherry. There's some faint wheat in the taste, but not enough to even identify it as a wheat beer.

“Decided” to take some time off. Crappy cold and rainy day out there, so a little brunch beer seemed a comforting thing to do.

This follows the norm: the beers are better on their own versus mixed.

So I was scheduled to retire May 1st, and found out Friday that it would be my last day (boss asked me if I'd like to leave early). Didn't really think about it this weekend, but not having to go in this morning and here I am on a Monday morning drinking a big beer. As @TheIPAHunter would say Larrrrge. Mrs. Ozone (the PBR drinking wife) still at work braving the elements. Pretty sure she knows the condition she'll find me in when she gets home. Cheers.

I’ve been spending the last couple of days of forced lockdown doing various chores and more chores. We are still only allowed to go out for errands, medical appointments or those that work in very essential fields for the country. Having a local pale ale, cheers all.

One thing I've noticed in our quarantine is a shortage of tofu, of all things. Except for us vegans, who the hell eats that stuff? Whatever, there is none to be found in Las Cruces.
