    Cheers @AyatollahGold !

This beer is really good. It’s one of those things where flavors play together and your brain immediately jumps to a certain place. Mine went to peanut butter with this coffee hazelnut stout. I find it pretty creamy on the aroma and that takes me to PB. A strong swirl and deep inhale yields a faint vegetal aroma. No where near enough to put me off, but perceivable. It’s nicely drinkable at 11%. Barley noticeable on the nose and just some pleasant warmth on the palate and in the pipes. It’s neither over the top with artificial hazelnut nor too sweet, but resembles hazelnutnut flavored coffee with a couple creams and a sugar. In fact, the sweet flavors mid-palate are more dry and nutty on the finish. I haven’t had many non-BA stouts from Prairie, but this one might be my favorite.

    Cheers, NBT!

Our host @Dragginballs76 sent me this wonderful beer.

Lassi what you think about this from Westbrook. This beer pours a deep maroon red with a pink tinged head. Aroma is tart raspberries, a sweetness (I’m guessing from the lactose), and some salt. Taste follows exactly and in that order with some salt on the finish. Mouthfeel is medium. Not quite creamy and I can almost feel some grainy character (like some purée). Great beer, thanks for your generosity Mike!

Supporting local tonight, picked up a couple of new ones and a couple of old favorites they dug out of the cellar. I'll say I was impressed as well because in lieu of tips they were asking for donations to their Get Comfortable campaign. Great group of people at Creature Comforts!
First new beer is RIA Pell Ale, a pale ale brewed in honor of Atlanta chef RIA Pell.
Motueka, Pacifica, HBC 692, and Vic Secret.
Crisp, citrus primarily lime, a bit of light grapefruit, hints of pine.
    Light bodied easy drinker.

Bomber from Boise Co-op. Medium golden, fizzy head settles out quickly. Pickle jar for the aroma, brine and dill. Taste brings a nice pucker, all pickle juice with just enough salt. While not a huge pickle fan, this tastes really good.

    Hello New Brew Thursday!!!

Another stressful week. The business at the restaurant is down somewhere between 70-90%. I'm still working , but not able to get paid at the moment. The joys of being an owner of the business.

On to my new brew. I picked this up in Fargo, right before the shit hit the fan.
Drekker Brewing - The Nightman Cometh. It is a bourbon barrel aged Russian Imperial Stout. 9.5% ABV.

Kinda disappointed with it to be honest. Really lacking in the body department.

Fairly thick pouring. Pours pitch black. 3 finger tan head. The head retention is damn good. Some nice lacing on the glass as the head dissipates.
The nose is not that strong to be honest. What I am getting is a nice boozy barrel aroma. Hints of chocolate are also on the nose.
Taste - There's a nice flavor from the barrel up front. On the backside I get some chocolate malts, and some caramel.
The body seems way too light for this style of beer to me. It's not watery, just too light feeling. Minimal alcohol burn.
Not bad, but I've had better BA RIS beers.

    Maybe one more? Not sure.

One more new one, courtesy of @akatz821. The heat has faded completely, but there's plenty of rich chocolate flavor and the cinnamon is spot on (very hard to accomplish IMO). Slightly sweet from the vanilla and a great sipper. Thanks, Azi! [IMG]

    Hop Butcher Milkstachio.

This is doing the trick tonight. Really is good for the style, and the pistachios add another layer to the beer. I thank you Dan so much for this.

Full truth here: I dropped the can right before I opened it, and it got shook up badly. It pours black. 4 finger tan head. Head retention is very good. There's some beautiful lacing as the head dissipates.
The nose I get a hint of chocolate, and lactose. The aroma is mild, however.
Taste - Well, I really get a great amount of lactose that hits on the backside. On the front I get the pistachio, and chocolate.
The body is good. The lactose feeling lingers for a while.
Tasty, and a good offering from Hop Butcher.

This will be it for tonight. I'd better not go too crazy, because I've got to work tomorrow. Hopefully this nightmare ends soon, and we can go back to living again. Life's too short for being holed up in a cave.

A little late to post, but here nonetheless! While I may not get the NBT badge today, this is indeed Thursday. And a new beer to me, so it works as far as I'm concered!

    Drekker CHONK Raspberry & Chocolate.

While I had my reservations, this is killer! Thicc and chewy as all hell, straight up tastes like a liquid tootsie pop!

Mikerphone Smells Like Bean Spirit Hazelnut

While I have had the imperial version, this is brand new to everyone. Tons of hazelnut, nice MF, but could use a bit more maple syrup to tie into the OG recipe better.

Nice clear pour and bitter finish, 2 things you don't expect to get from HB. Loved it though. Thanks Jason! 4.25/5.

Kids wanted to take a break from our Harry Potter marathon so the wife and I are watching Tiger King. All I can say is WTF?!?? Since you all of you savages enjoyed the country music last week here is some more.

Fairly complex and continually changed as it warmed up. Real balanced, slightly tart/sweet. Getting a lot of the wine barrel up front and oak on the lingering, dry finish. Real good. Thanks!

Supporting local with another from my favorite GA brewery.
Creature Comforts Well, I Declare an imperial stout with pecans and cocoa nibs.
As always this is a well made stout, good body, and roasty. I'll say I was hoping for more pecan, especially being a GA brewed beer but the cocoa was the the star of the show. Semisweet chocolate with hints of pecan.

One last one for tonight, still trying to support local with this one from Bissell. Only supporting this as local because a beer festival that was scheduled for Saturday was cancelled and the distributor still brought in some of the beers. I was able to snag some Bissell, Hop Butcher, Sand City, Resident Culture and a few others locally as they had brought them in.
Bissell Brothers The Nuclear Whim With The Fusion Of A Mile
Lots of bitter citrus, pineapple, peach notes. Good body and feel with a well hidden ABV. 4.25/5
