Post lunch beer...dipping into the cellar...Brother’s Craft Brewing Co.’s “Black Forest Resolute”, a BBA Stout with cocoa nibs, cherries & vanilla:



Overly aggressive pour produces little head, and a small mess on my desk...bottle #289 of #600...I think I traded for this bottle at last years’ (2019) Hunahpu Tampa hotel bottle share...tastes freaking amazing - poured at 54 F out of my chiller, tons of cherries and chocolate; bourbon in the second row; as I sip, I taste the vanilla creeping into the picture...I’m going to take notes, and look up this Harrisonburg, VA brewery...Cheers gang!

A Ratskeller Premium Pils from Gilde Hannover.

Staying in Hannover now. Only business travelers are allowed to travel and stay in most places in Germany at the moment. Huge Hotel is completely empty, except for me and one another guest. Hannover is known for its huge international tradeshows. But all those places are empty now. Except for one that is turned into a corona-hospital.

Just about a 5 hours drive home still tomorrow. There I plan to stay indoors for at least two weeks.

It's drinking time!

Scored this beauty with a special mixed 4pk at the brewery last weekend.





For 5 years old its changed dramatically.
For the better!

Color is prune juice or really murky apple cider.
Nose is sweet candied fruit.
Taste is fantastic! Lots of molasses, honey, caramel, raisins. No real barrel presence.
Moderate alcohol burn.
Finishes sticky and sweet.

Sounds like a much better variant than the base beer I had (I never had your beer).
The place is right off of I-81, not to far from the Devil’s Backbone secondary brewery in Lexington, also right off I-81.
