Stumbled across Casa Agria having NV and CA shipping. Woot. Ordered three 4 packs. No shipping cost. Awesome. Need to hunt around to see if anyone else offering shipping to NV...

They're fine but I can't say I'd go out of my way to buy them.

I was only able to get the Plucking Petals. Arrived this morning and cracked one earlier. Monkish really is one of the best with Haze. I only get them like every 18 months to two years when in in LA and have time to detour. Forgot how good they are.

Broke into my shipment of SARA today and tried Spots and Dots for the first time. Absolutely delicious - this one brings back happy memories of the OG Nelson. These past few days I've been fortunate enough to be drinking fresh North Park WCIPAs, SARA and Heady and have some Humble Sea arriving any day now. As shitty as this whole situation is, delicious hoppy beers from breweries that were, until now, out of my reach make isolation somewhat tolerable. Not much consolation, though, when I think about all of the good folks at these great breweries who are hanging on by a thread, if even that. While I try to do my part by supporting and buying online, I know that's barely making a dent.

Ordered from both Casa Agria and Moksa on Wednesday. Shipped yesterday and they both came together today. Moksa's Crowlers we filled yesterday. Couldn't recommend both more. Will be buying more.

Many Russian River beers are now back in stock. Stoked to grab a case of Pliny, extra stoked to realize the price includes all taxes and shipping!

Yeah! Cheaper than my local shop, no race to get a single bottle, and fresher too.

My favorite of my Casa Agria order (enigma Oxnard, casa del Norte, digital Forest, and Ever and Ever) was Digital Forest. Had it right after a Plucking Petals and it held it's own. The weakest was Ever and Ever and that I still gave a 4 too. I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for their hops moving forward

So, I'm curious, Where do people think the ABC laws will settle when we're out of this crisis? What permanent changes do you think breweries will make?

One thing I'd like to see stay permanent is Beer Bars with to go licenses being able to crowler their draft lists. Oregon and Washington already do this (probably lots of other states, but these are the ones I travel to the most), and it's awesome to be able to get a flight of samplers, pick your favorites and get them to go. Helps the bars stay in business by moving through inventory faster as well.

Breweries shipping is a little trickier. I love being able to grab Casa Agria and Monkish cans being in NorCal, but once social distancing is relaxed and tap rooms open up, I could see in-state shipping causing issues with the locals. Shipping all your cans across the state and leaving less for the patrons that keep you in business and tip more for your wait staff could get a little problematic. Maybe give every release 3 days to sell out locally before throwing it online? Anyway, I hope this stays in place in some form... As long as they keep the shipping to CA only :stuck_out_tongue:

Regardless of what happens, pretty much every brewery now has some sort of online ordering, which is awesome. That will make pickups much more prevalent and easier.

why should the law address this problem of "local patrons getting screwed" by breweries choosing to ship all their beer elsewhere?

if a brewery wants to do that, why shouldnt they be allowed to make that choice?

(im not sure why a brewery would try to screw over locals / im not sure why locals couldnt just order online if they wanted too)

edit: also, i am pretty sure that breweries have been allowed to ship directly to consumer within california for some time now.... its not a change in law its just more breweries choosing to do it now that its their only choice

edit 2: one final question. why do you want to keep free shipping to CA only? what is wrong with allowing shipping to other states?
