I don't know who you are, but anyone who listens to Elliott Smith is a friend of mine!

You see this, guys? First it was that guy from RI posting Ben Gibbard, then this guy shows up and posts Elliott Smith?!

Us hipsters know how to band together in times of need! You make fun of us, but we're strong in numbers!

Fremont Rusty Nail. This stuff is great. Wish I would’ve gotten my hands on some sooner.

Happy weekend all. Starting with a Lone Pine Space Metal Dinosaur. Loads of great pineapple flavor in this ipa.

Great Aldi beer. Octopi Hopping Nomad. Lasting rocky head retention/foamy lacing. Aromas and flavors of big red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, honeydew melon, berries, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine hops; with moderate cracker, toasted biscuit, light caramel malts; and herbal/floral/grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body, and fairly crisp finishing. Balanced bready/grainy malts, and sticky/resinous/rindy hops in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing resin dryness, no hop astringency. Very smooth, pretty refreshing, zero warming 4.5%. Feels like Centennial, Chinook, Simcoe hops. Very vibrant, dank, earthy, fairly juicy hops; with a nice bready malt backbone for the ABV. Mild residual sweetness with lingering resin dryness. Very impressive classic tasting IPA. No complaints. Finishing off the 6 pack.

Riverlands Dreamlike State DIPA (Citra, Strata, El Dorado). Five weeks in and drinking like a champ. Tangerine juice, valencia orange, ripe passion fruit, guava, white peach, ruby red grapefruit, ripe pineapple, white pear, floral, light herbaceous dank, light grass. Riverlands knows their hops. Hop Butcher still is king for hops, but these guys and Saint Errant have a healthy competition for 2 and 3 in Chicagoland imho.

I'm drinking a Devil's Backbone Vienna Lager at home, I bought from my local tap room, Tapped.
I'll be a happy camper when I can go out and have a proper pint on draft!

Started outside with a Treehouse AAAlterrr Ego while grilling and finishing with a Trillium Coconut Truffle. In these stressful times I really can't complain. Cheers!!!

A lot of good memories with this beer. Not this specific can. Just Labatt Blue in general...
