Brooklyn Bel Air Sour, a light starter.



Gotta start running these glasses through a quick rinse right before use. They're sitting under my bar now and probably gathering some dust here and there. Bubblessss

This beer was just okay. Tastes a bit like a single hop IPA I made with Idaho 7 that was too lemon-y and ended up dumping the batch. 3.4 out of 5

 

Haha, really? Yeah, Bauhaus runs pretty deep. I can't tell you how many guys 20, 30 years my senior I've heard say the same thing! They're before my time, but I was lucky enough to be introduced to them in my early teen years. Such a great song, that one. Dark and melancholic yet eerily comforting.

 

Maybe I just don't see them, but I'm surprised I don't see more Strange Brew references on here.

 

Wild Ales aren't my gig but working on slaying this dragon because I'm all about Toppling Goliath beers. The color is beautiful, it smells amazing, and so far is impressive. (I may need a Pepcid after this can but besides the point. )





Once again, brewers continue to be inspired by music which I love. I'm guessing maybe by the first line in this song??

Wow that batch looks really turbid! I'm sure it still slays.

 

Tasting really good, bottled on 3-2-20. This stuff is like liquid crack lol.

Crazy times for many reasons, I could write a book on just this week alone. I had three beers this evening over the last few hours and the last one I am sipping on right now and as I type this:

Thomas Hooker No Filter - First time having it, meh. I think that I am about over this trend and Citra and Mosaic can take a hike at this point, my palate just does not dig it much anymore. It was a good run and I am always open to trying new things and I am sure that I will be in the mood from time to time but for now, yeah, I am probably good.

DFH 60 Minute - has been a minute since I have had this. Enjoyable and I would consider this to be one of my go to shelf IPAs.

New Belgium Sparkling Lime Lager - I really enjoy this. Great lawnmower beer and this would be perfect for summer. I'm a sucker for light and crisp Lagers and all the better if you throw a little lime and maybe a little salt in too. I would gladly purchase a six+ pack of this, good fridge beer for me.

Such a stellar beer. Huge Terry Kath fan. Band was never the same after he accidentally took his own life. Check the licks out in this tune appropriate for the times.
