Short's Brewing 2020

It really was, I bought one to test it out, and immediately went back and bought a bunch.

 

Thanks to Short's awesome beer finder and some extra free time due to coronavirus cancelling my work trip to Japan today, I was able to find every Our Family store that got Neon Snowsuit. After a few phone calls I found 6 bottles left at the Kzoo D&W and after a 3.5hr cross state round trip later, those 6 beers are chilling in my fridge and should be perfect drinking temp tomorrow .

What it looks like is Our Family stores are getting exclusive quarterly releases going back to last year with My Good Boy, Short's Shandy, Neon Snowsuit, and now Magician, so I guess keep an eye out 3 months from now. Also, the 6 for $6 for these is criminal!

 

D&W fresh market, Valuland, Forest Hills, and Family Fare, but it looks like D&W gets the most of these specialty releases. Unfortunately we do not have any of these stores in the Metro Detroit area, so I have to rely on my buddy in Willamston or in extreme cases, make a cross state drive to Kzoo or Grand Rapids.

I'm not inquisitive enough to try the flavored seltzers, so you don't need to post the Beaches releases for me. Still too many beers that I want to try yet instead of switching to seltzers, regardless of calories, level of thirst, etc.

 

Hopstache sighting at the supermarket early this morning as I stocked up. I was not looking forward to the chaos but boy did my mood change when I knew I’d be drinking some Hopstache tonight!!

Drink like a case of this each release so here’s to hoping it’s as enjoyable as ever!!

 

Hopstache is tasting phenomenal this year. I say this about alot of Shorts Brews but I have to say it again, taste much better than I remember.

 

Just got to enjoy my first Hopstache of the season and I will concur that it is tasting great! This is a great special release - comes around infrequently enough that I’m excited for it and comes and goes quick enough that I don’t get sick of it.

 

has anyone heard updates about shorts anny party or is it still a wait and see type of situation.

 

Last I heard it was still a go but possibly getting pushed back to October 17th.

 

Interesting to see all these breweries with the lo-cal offerings based on a former. I get it, but have to say.. .

...when I'm spending my hard-earned money on beer, I'm going for maximum flavor. It's a treat for me, and I'd rather have a 7% IPA made the may it was intended instead of a "shell" of itself (simply to ingest less calories).

Haven't tried these, Bells or Perrin, but I have a feeling there would be more disappointment than praise.

The stout is very intriguing, though. Love the artwork..

But hey- if that's your thing, more power to you.

And I miss Hopstache!
