What beer are you drinking now? #2719

Have a good Tuesday. Played Warframe for 3 hours tonight. Just failed my last mission because I couldn’t fight off the final reinforcements, because I wasted all my ammo fighting off enemies while trying to find some stupid artifacts that were too hard to find. Like trying to find a 3 clear glass baseballs in a wilderness. Probably going to play Destiny 2 next. Weather is looking good for the rest of the week, so some trail riding should be in the cards.

2nd to last 2018 Willettized Coffee stout. Tasting fantastic as usual. Aromas and flavors of big milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, dark roasted coffee, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, fudge, marshmallow, vanilla, spicy rye whiskey, toasted oak, roasted nuts, and dark bread; with lighter notes of coconut, licorice, molasses, raisin, fig, date, smoke, char, leather, and tobacco. Touch of booze in the aromas as it warmed, but not overwhelming. Mild roast/char bitterness and rye whiskey/oak tannin spiciness on the finish. Light-medium carbonation and full body; with a very creamy, silky, velvety, and rich mouthfeel that is fantastic. Slight slickness, stickiness, chalky roast, whiskey/oak tannins, and increasing dryness. No cloying, acrid, astringency. Dangerously smooth sipping. Lightly increasing warmth of 12.9%, with a touch of barrel booze lingering after the finish. Amazing balance of rich malts, fruity/nutty coffee complexity, and barrel presence/integration. Not overly boozy, tannic, drying on barrels. I love it more with age, because it gets super soft and silky on the barrel tannins. Got a couple 4 packs of 2019 last year as well. Will probably let them sit for a bit. Haven't has one yet. Still have plenty of other BBA stouts at my disposal.

Anchorage Patterns Single IPA. Awesome NEIPA. Great fluffy head retention/foamy lacing. Aromas and flavors of big tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, blueberry, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine hops; with moderate wheat, cracker, white bread dough, light biscuit/toasted malts; and herbal/floral/grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body; balanced creamy/bready/grainy malts, sticky hops, and some resins/rinds in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness; no hop astringency. Very smooth/soft. Minimal warming 6.5%, or lingering hop burn after the finish. Awesome Mosaic showcase. Very vibrant, juicy, and fairly dank/earthy hops; with a nice wheat/oat/malt backbone. Mild residual sweetness with lingering resin dryness. Loved the hop profile as expected. Very impressive. 4.1
