Couldn't sleep, so got up to read some Charles Bukowski and watch the snow accumulate this early morning - over 6" is my current estimate, and it's still coming down heavily.

Admittedly this is from very late last night and into this morning. Did a late night workout which left me thirsty and this classic wheat sounded like the ultimate thirst quencher. A but thinner and lighter than I remember it but enjoyable nonetheless. A nice beer to debut my Jester King glass.

Have a good Friday. Got a lot of sleep in the last 24 hours for some reason. Going to be 58 this afternoon so definitely going to take the bike out to a trail when it does.

Incredible as usual this year. Aromas and flavors of big red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, mango, melon, berries, citrus peel/rind, peppercorn, and pine hops; with moderate honey, white bread, light caramel malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation, medium-full bodied, and fairly crisp finishing. Balanced creamy/bready malts and sticky/resinous/rindy hops in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing bitter resin/rind dryness, no hop astringency. Amazing classic Columbus, Chinook, Centennial, Amarillo, Simcoe profile. Very juicy, vibrant, and fairly dank/earthy hop complexity; with a great balanced malt backbone. Not overly sweet or bitter, extremely well balanced. Lightly boozy alcohol, but dangerously easy drinking. Never disappoints. Feels less sweet than last year. Also a lot easier to find when released. Still on the shelf.

    Cheers

I haven't listened to this album in a while. Definitely one of their best.

Pipeworks Supremium Hypster Beast Mode. Fantastic NEIPA. Lasting rocky head retention/thick foamy lacing. Aromas and flavors of big tangerine, orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, guava, blueberry, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, biscuit dough, light honey/toast, and herbal/floral/grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium-plus carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/grainy, and sticky/resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing resin dryness, no hop astringency. Very smooth/soft, not aggressive, minimal warming 6.5% or hop burn after the finish. Fantastic Mosaic, Amarillo profile. Extremely juicy, vibrant, and fairly dank/earthy hops; with a nice sized wheat/oat/malt backbone. Mild residual sweetness with lingering resin dryness. Spot on style. Loved the hop profile as expected. 4.23

No beer yet, but making plans for what I’ll have this weekend. With the passing of Bill Withers, figured I’d add this tune to enjoy with your current brews. RIP.

Fuck yes, Allagaeon released another Prog cover. It shows an amazing mix of the classic Prog Rock and their own heaviness. 10/10

Officially two weeks of being retired, all dressed up with nowhere to go. PBR drinking wife reminded me it's Friday before heading out to her "essential" job. Stay safe.
