You're not wrong. This was my last of the 2 pack they were selling, but their more common series is "Hey Mikey", which is a great beer as well. @vabeerguy is a great guy and I plan on doing a swap with him soon once all this craziness is over. If they come out with some and I can get it to him, he will certainly get it. Cheers to the both of you.

Damn kid. Before you send me anything let me send you some Veil and Triple Crossing brews. My two favorite breweries.

I'm elated that you liked that one. It's a fun one to toss into a blind tasting. Lots of head fakes going on.

Another small box will be on its way to you soon, I picked up something really special that was only released in Delaware that I feel you should try.

    Greetings All.

In these times having a new beer seems so trivial. Things are good on my little acre of the world. For years my best weekends are driving up to the house and not leaving the place. So this stay at home thing is good with me. But I would kind of like to drive the old pickup to the local tavern for a beer. Maybe next month?

So today we have Prickly Pear Pale Ale. My second brew, in as many weeks, from this brewery. A nice pale ale with a malty presence. Brewed with prickly pear cactus. https://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/914/2914/

Makes me want to hitch up the trailer and take a little road trip to Montana. Maybe next month?

    Until next time,

    Happy Trails!

Hey y'all! I thank every single one of y'all for the exceptionally kind words. I hope y'all will give @2beerdogs and @Roguer all the same courtesies and love you've given me.

These BIFs are successful due, exclusively, to the avid participants.

GO FORTH AND BIF MY PEEPZ!!!!!!!

Not sure if you I sent beer. Not sure if you have ever sent. I probably owe you though. When this virus thing subsides, I gonna send a small box of Richmonds best. Damn, I owe so many folks.

    Mystery Beer from @larryi86

Burnished gold in color, billowy white headwalls the teku. Slightly opaque. Initial bursts of fruit are strong but hard to nail down to specifics. At first a hint of berry, and floral notes akin to jasmine, and spice note that goes in the butane direction? A slight creamy grain note peaks in as well.
Ok. Time to sip.Ok, here we go. That hint of butane is long gone. Solidly berry and maybe some watermelon. Pulpy strawberry, and a creamy note that goes toward a gritty grain note. This continues for a while, then a slight tinge of honey peeks in along with a grassy note. But the finish comes back to strawberry. And a gentle warming comes after a few minutes.
Mouthfeel is medium, if its a DIPA it's spot on. Carbonation is moderate.
So me thinks it's a DIPA with some funky hop profile that goes solidly toward berry.
If I can have a backup guess, I'd say some funky take on an American Barleywine.

The funny thing was, I had been planning on lopping up a log or three with a chainsaw after my afternoon beer break, but after that beer I managed to still have two or three neurons firing that were insisting that power tools capable of removing body parts in short order were a bad idea. Stupid neurons.
Thanks again, that was really tasty and at 11.25%, 19.2 ozs was really plan-adjusting.
    Stay safe!

Actually pretty close, might technically not be a DIPA and the hops might not be where that very specific fruit is coming from.

Yes, @beertunes was the catalyst, the chief conspirator, and the capo di shennagins for the whole NBS BIF origin story. And with some help from @LehighAce06 he got this whole shebang started. We are all eternally grateful.
