I mean you could do alcohol like suggested by @GreaserGreg ,, but lysol would work as multiple people suggested (just rinse the can, or at least the top portion, well, as even dry there is residual chemical). In lysol's case ensure adequate contact time (depending on the product as much as 10 min). Honestly though, given how hard it is to get a hold of cleaning supplies, and the fact that it seems infeasible to literally disinfect every bit of groceries you bring in for the next 2-3 months--or heck the next yr or so until the vaccine-I do not know how productive worrying about cleaning cans actually is. That said some initial findings seem to point to 3 days being the maximum time virus can live on a metal surface, so if you get them midweek I guess you can handle them with care and isolate them in the corner of the fridge (I won't dare piss anyone off suggesting a closet or somewhere cool that is not refrigerated). That said, before you all fall asleep reading this, often these types of studies look for viral genetic material and do not necessarily indicate infectivity--though to be fair viruses tend to last longer in cooler temps, like your fridge. So, basically, do whatever makes you feel better, so long as you make sure you aren't repeatedly microdosing yourself with sanitizing chemicals! But MORE importantly, just wash your hands, 20 secs total, after handling the cans and pouring it as suggested by @bryantc3

I’m probably the most OCD person in this thread and what I do is

    See CDC-approved method above @shady64

Eh I work at a hospital. I have sanitized a grand total of zero groceries and zero beer cans/bottles. But I'm not a high risk group and deep down I'm just waiting to get it anyway when protective gear is out. Anyway, wouldn't want anyone not enjoying a great beer fully out of some likely unwarranted fear. True fear is for those of us who don't know when the next time we'll be able to get our hands on other half again (much less an ACE or SD that is a return to form).

PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD CAN WE CIRCLE UP AND GET SOME ACTIONABLE INTEL ON THE NEW BATCHES OF ACE & SPACE TO AVOID GETTING OVER OUR SKIS WITH BAD PURCHASING DECISIONS. I WANT TO LEVERAGE OUR COLLECTIVE DATA GATHERING ABILITY SO THAT WE CAN NAVIGATE THIS PROCESS WITH A RISK-CONSCIOUS MINDSET.

I've stated this in the Finback thread, but pile on with others that Double Something Cashmere, Whale Watching and Fields of Tall Grass are all stellar beers and quality exceeds a majority of OH cans I've had recently.

@prettygood ... i've always wondered if your handle is in reference to John Prine's song (RIP), or maybe Larry David-ism?

Since my post didn’t really seem to move the needle, I thought I’d try and be value add by going myself and testing out curbside pick up, since proximity and the specific beers on offer are both really inside my wheelhouse. The customer journey was pretty good overall. As someone else pointed out the window they give themselves is small, and their actual readiness notification came well inside of that SLA. I’d say the real low hanging fruit for them would be facemasks for the employees. For everyone’s sake, but especially their own, as they are regularly spending time less than 6 feet away from customers. That sort of surprised me. Otherwise the experience was very much aligned with my expectations.

I’ll circle back tomorrow with a deep dive analysis on each beer.

This actually gives me confidence to one day post peak go there. But not having masks seems silly. Hell this is other half. How do they not have space diamonds/ACE/broccoli masks for sale? They're losing their touch.
