hmmmmm, kind of torn. I really dont have any other reason to go up to Seattle and driving 7 hours total to pick up beer goes against everything i stand for ....haha

I also love Fremont and any excuse to go on an adventure sounds amazing right now.

probably going to pass. maybe it will make its way down to PDX somehow

Wow, I went online just before noon, waited for the B4K to show up as available, got to order the bottles, but by the time I entered my payment information a couple of minutes later, it showed as sold out. Bummer.

    (@beertunes, take note).

I hope they still do put some in distribution. It's not FOMO. It's just that this is my single favorite beer, ever since I first got a glass of the original B1K. By now, it's not something new ... it's the return of an old favorite.

Thanks. Looks like it was just a problem with my work computer (which has pretty restrictive firewalls). When I used my phone I was able to pull up the link, but it was already too late I guess. 5 minutes after noon it's showing completely sold out.

    The FOMO is real!

I'm with you on this. What I don't like, and is something @distantmantra alluded to, is that this quick a sell out smells like some serious shit lord behavior. Like someone is trying to corner the market on this beer so they can turn this into a seriously limited/rare, valuable trade goods.

Oh well. Maybe I'll get to try it on draft at some point.

Yikes. That was fast, so I'll consider myself lucky for getting some. (It was a little confusing, as I wasn't seeing any Brew 4000 options when refreshing the store again and again, so after a minute or two, I went back to the Brew 4000 page and saw that the link to the store was a new URL, which was specific to this beer.)

I missed last week's Reuben's Three Ryes Men baryleywine variants announcement and sale by a couple hours, which especially bummed me out because I really wanted to try the apple brandy variant. Oh well. I lamented the first announcement, which was rather sudden and only on Instagram, so I appreciated the wider heads-up this time.

For those who missed out, the bottom of the B4K page does say this beer will see distro, so all hope is not lost.

And if you miss out altogether, John, I'll split a bottle of B3K with you when we're back to normal or sometime in the fall.

Arch Bridge has some B4K. And you can buy online for pickup.

Thanks for the tip! Did they have it listed on their online menu? Didn't see it, but they may already be out, or maybe it's not on the online menu.

I did see it on their online menu right after they shared a pic on Instagram ($25), but didn’t see it a short while later. I wonder if it sold out that fast? That’s one downside to selling bottles online - the rare stuff may go fast.

Brew 4k appears to be readily available. I know that Ben's Bottleshop, Beermongers, and Saraveza have some in stock as of this afternoon

Apparently, whilst I was working today, Elizabeth Station had it available (and, they're doing on-line sales only) and by the time I looked at my texts, there was a message that it was available, and less than 5 minutes later, a text saying shit,m they sold out already. Mind you, I only got to look at my phone a couple hours after the fact, but, still....

At least it is, technically, in distro.

Seriously? I'm surprised. Imperial bottle shop didn't have any and were under the impression it wasn't yet available in pdx.

Got a bottle here in Bend yesterday. Happy it got into distro faster than I thought it might.

I just called beermongers... They're out of course. They actually said they got in a small amount last week. Oh well...

B4K isn't in the cards for me this year unless I stumble across it later. It's showing up locally at Stogies & Hops and Whistle Stop but I won't break my sequester just to chase a beer. If I got the coronavirus chasing a beer my wife would kill me if the virus didn't  I kid. I'm fine with the cellar I've got. (It's impressive)

I read before that you were coming to Bend and meant to offer to buy you a pint (under different circumstances). Cheers from a safe distance!
