My go-to beer for last decade, Lost Coast Brewery's 8 Ball Stout, isn't available in my area any longer & I'm looking for an equivalent replacement. It's underrated IMHO & just fits my needs best so hoping someone knows of a similar but readily available replacement. There are plenty of other stouts that I drink too, but none the same as 8 Ball.

Or maybe just get an eight ball of coke and see where that takes you?

Hey! OP! We're glad to help, but ya gotta work with us here. Where are you located? What breweries are generally available in your area?

8 Ball Stout is/was always a great beer. Lost Coast was generally deeply under-rated. The most beautiful big billowing meringue head I ever saw was a Lost Coast Indica IPA. The beer was really wonderful.

I can't imagine lost coast distro much farther than NorCal, perhaps try Rasputin?

I sold Lost Coast in North Carolina for years. They were the best people to deal with bar none. It was a shipping challenge handled well by my wife and the Lost Coast folks.

They are far and away the largest selling brewery from our area. They sell nationwide and have a huge presence in Asia. I have no idea how as I've always found their beer to be severely lacking.

Although they were way ahead of.the curve with overly.sweet and fruited beers (great white, tangerine, I think something with watermelons)

That said 8 ball is a decent beer and a rarity it seems these days being a mildly roasty stout that hangs out in the 5% range.

8 ball is the only.beer.you mentioned not brewed by north coast. I do think that they.brew a regular stout called old no. 37 or something like.that with a train on the box but I haven't seen that beer around in some years
