Have a good Tuesday. Had a good nights rest at a reasonable hour this time. Weird nightmares all night, a good mix. Weather is looking nice for the week ahead, if a bit cold overall. Will definitely hit some local-ish trails since they will be dry. The wind yesterday probably knocked a few trees down, so I’ll likely have to notify the trail coordinator on the MMBA forums about them. Need to continue with some gaming today. Was thinking about Metroid Prime again.

Prairie Pirate Noir. Amazing as usual. Aromas and flavors of huge dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, toffee, fudge, vanilla, coconut, cream, toasted oak, brown sugar, and dark bread; with lighter notes of molasses, rum raisin, fig, date, cherries, licorice, smoke, and charcoal. Increasing booze in the aromas as it warms, but not overwhelming. Light roast/char bitterness and rum/oak spice on the finish. Light-medium carbonation and very full bodied. Very creamy/silky mouthfeel; with light slickness, chalky roast, and oak tannins. Slightly increasing bitter roast and tannic oak dryness. Never acrid/astringent. Incredible balance of the rum barrel and base stout. Pleasantly warming, but not boozy finish. Dangerously smooth sipper. Prairie imperial stouts rarely disappoint, very top tier stuff. I was able to get a lot of it this past year. Their BA stouts seem to be not as hard to come by anymore.

I saw an ad for music software on FB this morning with a video of Misha Mansoor; so I’ve been listening to Periphery.

Good day BAs! Thanks, Ian, for starting today's thread. We had a light frost last night and are expecting more light rain and wind today. While getting beer yesterday, the wind and rain nearly swept the parking lot clear of me. Fortunately, the weight of the beer I was rescuing provided some ballast and I was able to make it back to my car. Today's Breakfast is an old favorite that just showed up locally:

Sure, it's four months old, but it's still head and shoulders above most IPAs. Lawson's Sip of Sunshine should be in stock Thursday.

Anchorage Pack Call. Fantastic NEIPA. Great fluffy head retention/foamy lacing. Aromas and flavors of big tangerine, orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, guava, berries, citrus peel/zest, wood, mint, peppercorn, pine hops; with moderate wheat, white bread dough, light toasted malts; and herbal/floral/grassy hop earthiness. Mild pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; very creamy/bready/grainy malts, some sticky hops, and light resins/rinds in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing lingering bitter dryness; no hop astringency. Super smooth/soft, minimal warming 6.4%, or lingering hop burn after the finish. Fantastic Cascade, Motueka and Waimea profile. Extremely vibrant, juicy, an fairly dank/earthy hops; with a nice piloowly wheat/oat/malt backbone. Mild residual sweetness with lingering resin dryness. Right on par with the rest of their NEIPAs as expected. 4.25

Brooklyn Defender IPA - I like Brooklyn and have always liked them for most of their offerings. This one is top notch along with Naranjito and their Chocolate Stout:

Some rare hip-hop from me, fairly dated and quite foul-mouthed. Not for every ears...

    Good morning BA
Just finished my second nightshift and now have five days off. Since no lines are running they are having the maintenance and operations managers alternate days to look over idled equipment and skeleton crews. Just finished a review on this one...
I'm quite embarrassed not to have the correct glass, but I'll ask for leniency:wink:. This must have been dated best before and not bottled in 2017. Five to eight years old depending on who you believe. Still good, but muted in aroma and flavors. Cheers all and enjoy your Tuesday!

    Morning, BAs!

This might legitimately become a go-to coffee stout for me (over FBS) ... if the distro ever ramps up. It's that good.

    Cheers!

The quality of the Heady Topper batch canned on 3/31 is just amazing. Having another as we speak and it's just mind blowing. I always liked this beer but this batch is just insane....

Today is Tuesday, trash day for us. I got to change my new daily routine and put the trash out at the curb. And to live even more on the edge, we're going to take our afternoon walk in the morning.

With no place to go, I decided to wash my kitchen ceiling and now rewarding myself with this beer I found in the basement. Was worried it may have been down there too long but it's drinking just fine.

Clear, copper hued body; excellent carbonation; thick and dense head. Warm, roasted grain aroma; a hint of caramel and roasted nuts. Excellent flavor; mild sweetness accentuated with a light touch of caramel and a mild dose of complementary hop bitterness. Medium body; warm and smooth and the palate; a fine touch of residual sugar body; finishes on the dry side.

This is an incredibly tasty mild ale, sporting some excellent malt-forward warmth and toastiness, a nice, smooth edge of hop bitterness, and a very satisfying mouthfeel, all wrapped together in a low ABV package.
