Have a good hump day. Just been playing Metroid Prime for GameCube most of the night. Made some good progress. Might leave the house to get some energy drinks later. Also need to refill my laundry card.

Sierra Nevada Fantastic Haze. Awesome NEDIPA. Lasting rocky head retention/thick foamy lacing. Aromas and flavors of big tangerine, orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, strawberry, citrus peel/rind, wood, tea, peppercorn, pine hops; with moderate wheat, cracker, toasted biscuit, white bread dough malts; and herbal/floral/grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium-plus carbonation and body; balanced creamy/bready/grainy malts, sticky hops, and some resins/rinds in the mouthfeel. Fairly crisp/refreshing finish. Light-moderate increasing resin dryness; no hop astringency. Very smooth, not aggressive. Minimal warming 9%. Awesome Chinook, Azacca, Amarillo, Idaho 7, Strata profile. Very juicy, vibrant, dank, and earthy hops; with a nice sized wheat/oat/malt backbone. Minimal residual sweetness with crisp resin dryness. Tastes exactly how I imagined! Will definitely buy more than this one time.

New Christian Muenzner instrumental album landed last month. Just discovered today that he developed focal dystonia around the time Obscura’s Omnivium was released (2011), so its pretty amazing he has been able to adjust his technique and still play with this much technicality. Apparently he wears a special latex glove now on his fretting hand, I've seen very recent videos.

 

@superspak I am hoping to see a metroid reboot for the switch as well. Mario and Link got epic upgrades. Hopefully Samus does too.

Slightly stuck on a mini boss in Metroid, but I'll work through it. Good thing about emulation is I can quick save states right before battle to jump right back into the ring.

Lagunitas Born Yesterday. Still tasting great. Flavors of huge red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berries, citrus peel/rind, peppercorn, and pine hops; with moderate cracker, biscuit, light honeyed malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body; balanced bready/grainy malt and sticky/resinous hops in the mouthfeel. Crisp/drying finish and never astringent on bitterness. Amazing juicy, vibrant, dank, and earthy balanced hop profile; with a clean pale malt backbone. Refreshingly drinkable for an IPA. Simcoe, Citra, Mosaic hops this year. Used to have Equiniox for years, but I guess they couldn't find much this year. Still have a whole other pack left, need to get some Waldos soon.
