Russian River (2020)

I went the second week and it was all sold out. You may not have heard as much about it because there wasn’t a big supply.

 

My mixed case of Happy Hops/Citra Flash Mob cans landed yesterday. Cans dated 4/10. Happy Hops was as fantastic as ever. Looking forward to the Citra Flash Mob later today.

 

Would it be cheaper if it was in cans? Crossing my fingers either way

 

Judging by the $152 price of a Happy Hops case of 24 cans (which is typically priced the same in bottles as Blind Pig) I’d say it’s likely that it would be cheaper.

 

How do you create hype from an already established brewery?
Release a PtE DDH version. And put it in new packaging.

 

Those cases sold out rather quickly too.

 

Damn...I'd like to try some DDH PtE. Hopefully they release it again.

edit: Looks like the mixed case is still available. I think I'll wait to see if this gets distro near me. Russian River in general has been popping up a lot recently.

 

I don't think the cans get distribution, but I could be wrong. I haven't seen them in stores at least.

 

Yeah, haven't seen a single canned RR offering at stores here in SD. Still just the bottles.

 

actually I thought it would of sold out much quicker.

 

This is one I would definitely like to try, but will wait to see if it hits distribution.

 

It has been getting better distribution but I don’t think they’ve had any distribution on any cans. I went ahead and got the mix case. The 4 pack of Row 2 sold me on it. I like Velvet Glow too so that’s welcome in my fridge. Mind Circus wasn’t anything special but I guess I’ll get to it eventually.

 

anyone on the peninsula bought a case would like split? i was trying to find someone and apparently took to long lol

 

I just ordered a case from another brewery, then bought a bunch of Timbo, and I'm weak and had to order this as well.

Looking forward to enjoying some DDH Pliny though.

 

I saw on the Russian River Instagram they were going to brew a double batch next week, so hope is not lost.
It’s available at the breweries too.

 

If it comes up again I’m down to split a case or the 16pk

So did anyone else get a notice that their Pliny4Prez shipped, but it is via line haul (and arriving in 4 days for LA)? A bit disappointed since my last few orders were overnight.
