Yeah I mean I get the need to prevent idiots from coming and lining up and trying to buy something, but maybe don't offer it for delivery yet if you aren't ready to announce the full details.

Andrew was talking about this on Instagram the other night saying they were figuring out the best way to release the beer to avoid people showing up in person to buy it.

The fact that they need to strategize to stop a group forming during a global pandemic is easily the worst part of craft beer. Just complete disregard for everything and everyone including themselves.

Agreed, irresponsible for Other Half to seemingly hype it up

I just added it in my cart anyways. I noticed it says no lactose so thats a plus. Probably better off on their part. If they announced it, it would be hyping it up.
Buyers have the choice to either take a gamble or pass on it. Decent selection otherwise. Don't know if I ever had an IPA feat. Strata much before but got one of those.

Shhhhh. This thread has been a hint dull recently. I want a bunch of Queens people to join the board this weekend and start bitching about how they didn't get the OH/Barack Obama collab because OH didn't say what it was on the order page. All the other hype breweries are getting this kind of free entertainment, so I ask you, Why Not Us?

Is there a since-deleted post that I missed? Or is the “TBA Special IPA Collab” bit at the end of a ~700-800 character long post that’s predominantly about Strata and the Queens delivery zone that’s the hyping?

See the recent Veil release for EXACTLY what not to do during a global pandemic.

I added it too and looks like it's fixed at one four pack, so I got that, a pack of All Strata, and two packs of Mylar and DMD each

I am quarantining down in Richmond so I wanted to check out that release. Drove up 30 minutes after open and the line was about 150 deep. Luckily I had an order waiting at Triple Crossing so I went there. When I came back there was no line and plenty of beer left. There wasn't even a need to get in line in the first place...

With what’s going on now it’s incredible to think idiots lined up for beer amongst all those people. Even worse, Veil should be ashamed of themselves for allowing this to happen in the first place.

Cracked open a can of the recent Space Diamonds. Definitely a little disappointing but not a drain pour by any means. It’s on the greener/vegetal side. Not sure if it needs time or not but still tasty. Just not sure I’ll be buying any more until they figure it out. Such a shame because it’s my favorite

All Strata Everything is a huge win. It’s like a softer, creamier Riwaka flavor. Loving this.

Thanks for sharing, I’m holding out on picking up a 4pack until they announce details about the collab. Hope it’s still available.

I panic bought All Strata after waiting a few hours for the "special IPA" to be available on curbside. I guess it never was after hearing it sold out for delivery.

I know we are all appreciative. I know we all want things to go back to normal. I for one continue to shop there more than before just to do what I can (and it beats the local bodega or waiting in line at Whole Foods for some other beer [and yes I've been to Finback/Strong Rope etc.]). Yet this is the most #OtherHalfHatesLocals I have felt before (if it is really sold out). We shall see. Either way I'll continue to shop cause I love them. Glad to see early positive reports on ASE.

Ugh... the paucity of testing and data generally makes understanding these kinds of questions very difficult to evaluate critically. That said, I had completely forgotten they were handing out hand sanitizer at the event he week before the city shutdown. In retrospect it doesn't sit well. Alas, such is the news cycle these days.
