I’m impressed and also shocked by someone who doesn’t acknowledge an IPA for summer beer...

This might sound satirical, but I’m really intrigued. How do you drink stouts in Florida? I drank a ton of stouts in Michigan but basically stopped when I moved to Washington. Cheers to you for drinking dark beer in 80+ degree weather though!

We kind of just do. We have so many amazing stout focused breweries that put them out year round between Cycle/Angry Chair/Hidden Springs/Cigar City/J Wakefield/3 Sons and more. Especially with angry chair, people are there sharing beers in the parking lot at 6am for a 9am release. Just the culture here I guess. Plus we drink them inside MOST of the time and we all have really good A/C haha

    It's always stout season.

All beer styles all year for me....just the ratios shift from winter to summer a little bit....summer means a little more AALs and craft lagers and little less high ABV sweet brews. But it’s not as big a shift as one might think.

If this travel ban is not lifted, I'll stick with what I can get here within walking distance. I like to go to Vermont and pick up a big stash, but I'm unsure about discretionary travel for this summer. I mean, if they see a NYS license plate, I don't want to be quarantined in a local Red Roof for 14 days.

    This summer:
    SNPA
    Jever
    Six Point's The Crisp
    SN's Summerfest
    Torpedo
    Dale's Pale Ale
    High Life
    Natural Ice

I'll look for that one too. I've had a couple other destihls and really liked them.

I specifically dislike Oberon because of college and people not shutting up about it come Spring.

Well, okay -- never mind judging it on its qualities as a beer.

    A really good beer.

I think this Labatts Blue Citra I’m Sippin on will be good this summer.

I start stocking up on Pivo Pils right now, and I was starting to rediscover my irrational love affair with Bohemia. And if the damn shelter in place ever endsI 'm hoping Sante Adairius starts keeping Simpleton on tap for growler fills.

I'm thinking the same thing with the light sours. I'll probably buy any lime Gose I see. Raspberry tart Ales. Berliner Weise. I already want some Boulevard Chill Wave Sour with Cucumber. Avery lime Gose. I already drink Sea Quench year round. I've been craving my old summer go to's Abita Purple Haze and Magic Hat #9. SNPA, DFH 60 min. I think I might try Sierra Nevada Summer Fest for the first time finally.

I might have to retry Oberon. I think I remember kinda liking it but was disappointed it may have been not fresh. I definitely remember not liking Bells poolside cherry wheat ale.

I'll revisit it too. I'm not that petty. My emotional connection to that beer, to date, isn't good, that's all.

Big fan of Terrapin Luau, Sierra Nevada Summerfest, and Great Lakes Holy Moses. If you're down south, Scofflaw has a solid tropical wheat beer called Dirty Beaches, and Jucifer from Gnarly Barley is a great IPA too.

Well, my local distributor got fresh SNPA in. Was going to grab some of that since that’s quite a light and enjoyable beer, but not at $21 for a 12 pack.

I’ll probably pick up one of the local breweries seasonal offerings or maybe even Fat Heads Bumbleberry Ale if I can find it somewhat fresh.
